you mean Carson and Ponder?

I don't see Ponder holding his own. Homie had a decent game against 2-7 Carolina. He ain't shootin out with nobody. AP and that defense is there only hope imo.

and that boy Bush gon just lay down. I don't think Palmer is gonna have trouble with that sh*tty pass D. But it all comes back to the run game. Can our run D step up against AP? Can Bush continue to control the clock for us? and meanwhile, can Palmer take advantage of the terrible and depleted secondary unit?
Dog, I'm tired of you trashing our secondary. It'll be funny if that's the deference and Palmer is shut down this game.

We're going to see Sunday how "sh*tty" our pass D is.

Vikings Team Report

“I've had bad games before. I learned if you dwell on them, it's not a good thing.”

- QB Christian Ponder, when asked how he puts Monday night's 45-7 loss to the Packers behind him.

It's always been like this since I've been here. I think at it's peak we had about 7...that's not counting bandwagon fans.

One good hit by Jared on Carson will have him having flashbacks of the 06 playoffs. That doesn't bode too well for the Raiders.
I'd bet some money that Allen doesn't get to Carson more than 1 time, unless he takes a late cheap shot

Raiders' Veldheer faces huge challenge against Vikings’ Allen

ALAMEDA — Oakland left tackle Jared Veldheer has a monumental task this week trying to slow down NFL sacks leader Jared Allen of Minnesota.

While it might sound a little crazy, Veldheer hopes the Raiders let him go at it alone.

The second-year offensive lineman certainly respects Allen and calls him one of the best in the league. Veldheer just thinks the Raiders offense could suffer if they have to send help his way.

“You want to have (teammates) be able to do their thing,” Veldheer said Thursday. “You want them to be able to get in the pass route to make a first down or do something to help us convert. As long as you do your job and someone doesn’t have to help you, then we’re better off.”

Then again it really hasn’t mattered what strategy teams have used against Allen. His 13½ sacks are two off his career high, and the three-time Pro Bowl defensive end needs only 4½ more to reach 100 for his career.

Since notching half a sack in Minnesota’s opener against San Diego, Allen has had at least one full sack in eight straight games. In four of them, he’s had multiple sacks.

“He’s as good as there is in football,” Raiders coach Hue Jackson said. “The guy has 13½ sacks, and it’s not by accident. He doesn’t make any magical things happen, he just goes and plays extremely hard. What we have to do is get him blocked.”

That job will primarily belong to Veldheer.

Oakland’s third-round draft pick in 2010, Veldheer has been one of the Raiders’ most consistent players on an offensive line that is second in the NFL for sacks allowed (11)

You think he

wants to be alone with this

? You know he's tripping.

Veldheer aint bout that life.

So, technically if the Vikes pull it off, Broncos would be tied for 1st in the AFC West

But seriously, Raiders should win, with or without DMC, Michael Bush has been doing good during his absence, but I see why Oakland fans don't like him, 250 lb back running like he 220 lbs

str8 brandon jacobs bro

He ran harder last week than ive ever seen him run. If we can get that kinda performance again...were in good shape.

Im REAL interested in what Veldheer can do with Allen. Our O-line gets ZERO credit for how well theyve been playing. Hopefully he can open some eyes tomorrow...im jus ready for this sh*t to get cracking

I seen a lot of Oakland fans on this board bash him because he does not run hard enough.
