I never seen The Magician, odd they include that. I would recommend Fanny & Alexander from there, but they should have (maybe not Criterion) Seventh Seal (Must see) and Wild Strawberries. Waiting years for them to release his masterpiece Persona, I would k!ll for a high quality copy.
Last Year at Marienbad is one of the most atmospheric movies I have seen, its like a trip to a graveyard, the writing is poetic and philosophical, and the main guy is just too suave.
"Last year, I met you, I romanced you, we looked at classical art, I insulted your husband, I kissed you, I licked you, I fu*ked you."
"No you didn't, but do, tell me more, tell me more"
"Last Year...at Marienbad
Last Year...at Marienbad"
I love it, so ambiguous and gives you a deja vu feeling you never quite grasp what it all means.
Anyways Pierrot Le Fou has one of the best scores ever, the music is so s3xy with the images. Just burn and throw on the surround and its like an orgasm.
The way you described that makes me really look forward towards it.
I basically seen The Seventh Seal
with Screwhead's breakdowns of that film.
Your thigh line
