Stephon Marbury Has An Opinion About Michael Jordan And The Lockout

Michael Jordan has taken a lot of grief since he emerged, in a twist that should surprise nobody, as the leader of a group of hard-ass NBA owners knifing away at the revenue pie. Now he's taking grief from whatever fun-house PC bang Stephon Marbury has decamped to these days. I'll leave the parsing of this tweet to you.

I expected to see some ridiculous statement from Starbury, but this is real talk though, Mike is something else.

So Mike is now fake because he wont go against his own personal interest? He's a fu*kin owner, who is going to willingly take less on a personal investment..

Players should have been taking business classes instead of media communications, maybe they would understand how sh*t works.

I use to love MJ when he played, but since he put the ball down he aint won sh*t. I never read about NBA players, sportswriters or die hard fans saying anything good about MJ since he crossed B. Russell and J'd him up. I live in Charlotte, MJ does live in another world. I know gamblers are greedy but MJ is on another level, he against the players getting a bigger slice of the pie, this greedy mothafu*ka once played 1 season for 20-24 million base salary.

It ain't really about personal interest though to me. It's that Mike was a player first the an owner because you would think a n*gga wouldn't say 37%. Really??

Mike was earning 1-3 mil per year while he was regarded as a the worlds best player.. It wasn't until after his first retirement did he start to really get paid. In other words Mike is going to say players need to EARN the 10+mil per year contract, and not be paid based upon potential or what they "could do"..

Thats why there's more bad contracts in the NBA than good ones, for the simple reason that everyone is being paid on potential.. It makes a for a bad work ethic, nobody will work hard for something that comes so easily.

You hit the nail on the head. Mike didn't start really getting money until about 10 years in the league. Hell, he's made more money outside of the nba than he has in the nba. These players feel that they're entitled to things, which they aren't. In my opinion, the players are being greedy and Mike being the competitor that he is, is getting with them at their own game.

n*gga, Scottie Pippen was getting ROBBED during his time with the Bulls and he was putting up amazing numbers. How do you think he feels about this?

Fact of the matter is, both sides are just greedy fu*ks.

Mike just being a jealous bi*ch. He gave most of that money back to the crooks in the casinos instead of doing something constructive for his people.

What a bum MJ was as a person, all that opportunity to do something great.

Racist is a cop out to the points i bought up. Fact: MJ = bum

Marbury = underestimated smart dude. He followed the money in China while giving back to his community, and why he'll always be loved.

The BRI has nothing to do with players earning their contracts because the salary structure is still the same in the new CBA. MLE is still 5+mill, Bird rights are still relatively the same, salary escalations are lowered but still ridiculous. The BRI going down will lower the salary cap with the same rules, which will handcuff tax teams and be advantageous to cheap ads owners who are content with being eternally mediocre but still line their pockets.

Dunno.....always heard that Mike was a bit different. Real egotistical and somewhat "greedy". The gambling stories and sh*t that went down with Chamillionaire proved it for me. Dudes a bit of an as*hole who really walks around like he's the greatest to ever do it

Of course dudes aren't gonna listen to Marbury because they think he's crazy. He's speaking real sh*t here....most won't because of the possible reprecussions or negative feedback. Starbury aint got sh*t to lose

when any of you fu*ks become a own of nba team then we will see what you do and say.

I'm not defending MJ being an as*hole but being an owner.

I didn't say anything about racism or anyone being racist. I said that its getting racial. You mentioning MJ doing or not for "his people." Which is always a racial remark. Such nonsense has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
his people cant mean his community, peers, teamates? maybe about race to u but not everyone

That doesn't mind MJ needs to be the main one pushing for 47%. All thats doing is hurting the situation.
