nas wouldve wanted wack beats...

i personally feel nas is a more skilled rapper than jay-z is. i feel nas's metaphors, wordplay, and storytelling ability are better than jay-z's. plus i think nas has a more distinct voice and flow.

on the other hand...

i feel jay-z makes better albums and songs than nas does.

therefore, a jay-z and kanye west album would be a better fit than a jay and nas album because jay is more focused on having a few singles on the charts.

sh*t wud have been dope..to all you saying nas dont know how to pick beats...thats why u have producers like Kanye or Diddy who knows exactly what sh*t should sound like however, WTT got kanye written all over it...cant really pick a track on WTT that Hov said ok this the beat we using for this song

i think Method right but then again Jay doesnt like head on competition. so thats a no go off rip

I prefer hip-hop. If you like that "I'm rich and pull bi*ches" stuff, do you. Besides the tracks with Frank Ocean, I don't think that album is nice. Kanye's production is dope. Don't get me wrong. Him and 9th are the best producers right now. But I prefer cultural and political relativity in my hip-hop. So Nas and Damien's content>Kanye's beats and Jay's samesh*tdifferenttrack lines

Are some of you people really saying that Kanye has a better catalog than Nas?

But then again, most of you are from this generation and don't know sh*t about real music..
All of Ye's albums > Nastradamus, SD, I Am, HHID, and Untitled

Nas ain't nearly as consistent as Kanye

Nas and Jay might have been better though, if they picked Kanye as the executive producer for the album. Jay and Ye worked on the album for a long time because both their egos are too big and wouldn't let the other take over the creative process of the album. Nas let Damien handle the album and I'm sure he would have done the same with Jay

n*gga, Tical and 4:21 The Day After were dope albums. The other two were mediocre.
I agree, except I think that Judgment Day was actually decent. Blackout! is another joint that I was thought was dope. The only Meth album that I don't care for at all was that sh*t Diddy executive produced... Tical 0.

@ Kanye's catalog being better than Nas' catalog...People like you are so caught up into the mainstream and names that you don't even know what the difference between Hip-Hop and Rap is..

And to keep it real, the reason why people like you only say that Nas isn't consistent is because of his beat selection...How can people consider themselves to be Hip-Hop fans when they are only concerned about the beat selection and not the lyrics?

@ 808, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Graduation, and Late Registration being better than any of those Nas albums you named...

Kanye stan...

kanye has put out 4 albums compared to nas 9 albums

you can compare nas catalog to jay-z catalog tho, not kanye.

I'm a stan because I pointed out Nas isn't consistent? You're one to speak with Nas on your profile getting mad over my post. Nas is one of the best to do it and Illmatic is better than anything Ye has done but if you think Nas is more consistent than Kanye.
