Nas and Jay-z need to do an album together produced by Ye, Rza, and Dre.

It would be a monster

I would leave WTT as is. The WTT album was for the current time and Jay/Ye did a decent job. But it would be incredible if Jay and Nas did an album together. But it will never happen. Nas is the greatest rapper on wack beats and will flow over pure mediocre ish and k!ll it. Jay-Z on the other hard doesn't rap on wack beats at all (maybe a few). Creatively, I just don't see them pairing off one another on beats they both support.

This thing about Nas flowing on wack beats is starting to become a little bit of an exaggeration I feel.

Cause as much as people say that, he's also rapped on some of the best beats in Hip-Hop (Illmatic as a whole, Made You Look, Nas Is Like)
no need to convince you youngin. . .it perfectly clear that you not really a hip-hop head like that. . .that pretty much the only reason why i responded in the first place so my job is done basically.

lol@ giving kanye credit for carving out a style with 808s & heartbreak when he basically just grafted what 3 stacks did with love below in the first place. . and you bringin up SFG being inspired by 808s is just a perfect picture of why rap is in the state that its in now. . .

Anyways, i'll just mark it in the books that you not someone to be taken too seriously when it comes to rap discussions. . .whenever I wanna discuss the merits of f*ggoty a.ss cudi i'll holla tho
NAS he ain't been relevant in like 15 years
So "Hip-Hop Is Dead" and "untitled" weren't relevant?

Those weren't some of the most controversial and talked about topics in hip-hop when they happened?

So going on a WORLD TOUR not college tour like your favorite rapper, and having one of the most critically acclaimed albums of that year isn't relevant?

You know who's not relevant... YOU

I prefer hip-hop. If you like that "I'm rich and pull bi*ches" stuff, do you. Besides the tracks with Frank Ocean, I don't think that album is nice. Kanye's production is dope. Don't get me wrong. Him and 9th are the best producers right now. But I prefer cultural and political relativity in my hip-hop. So Nas and Damien's content>Kanye's beats and Jay's samesh*tdifferenttrack lines

808s is essential to Kanye's discography, it wasn't made for hip hop heads to appreciate

people tend to ignore the song writing, production, emotion and cohesiveness just because its Kanye and he shouldn't be singing.

garbage right

See that's the thing right there, Nas would not drop an album "hip-hop heads" could not appreciate.

And isn't 808 and Heartbreaks "essentially" a Kid Cudi album? Didn't he provide the words and "swag" for Kanye's "Heartbreak phase". Right

Jay & Nas aint friends tho. What I mean by that is that WTT was a product of the rapport that Jay and Ye have with one another. It wasnt just any producer/rapper, rapper/rapper, artist/artist. Its Jay and Ye and the specifc level of comradary they have WITH one another. A Jay & Nas album would be tough in terms of just overall skills but it would suffer due to their noticably different approaches(concepts, beats selection etc.) Them n*ggas is both ill, they just not the same type of ill. Collab LPs from Nas/Az, Nas/Common, Ghost/Rae, Meth/Ghost, Rza/Gza would all be higher on my list. Part of me hopes other artist attempt collab albums like WTT, but I dont really care to hear Hov's 'I invented callabo super albums' bar 5yrs from now.

OAN: Method Man need to make some music of his own. Ol sideline a.ss n*gga

This thread is proof that Meth was right. Cats would be talking non-stop about Jay and Nas doing something together (pause) regardless and the album would be talked about for years.

fu*k commercial prospects, that's that buzz.
