He came up as a right fielder. With Granderson in Center whos not bad you can hide him. I wouldnt move Gardner either. I would think if he was in a situation where he didnt have to be "the man" he could flourish a bit more. The Yanks might give him that opportunity. But largely I base that off of his salary is getting up there and not to many teams would be willing to give him a shot unless they have payroll to throw around.

Id listen to Pelfrey for Soria. Pelfrey's from Wichita (3 hrs southwest of KC) so it may do him some good.
I'm glad your not a gm. U want a below average innings water who makes more than your Allstar closer?

we need starting pitching more than the all star closer. We have enough arms in the minors and in the bigs to make up that role.

Pelfrey still has upside. And granted I wouldnt do Soria for Pelf straight up there would need to be financial considerations or perhaps MILB depth involved as well.

Ill admit my vision about him is skewed as I've watched him play since little league. I'm banking that a change of scenery would benefit him and thats a gamble within itself.

Pelfrey has no more upside. He's 1 year away from free agency and not a young kid anymore. What you see is pretty much what you get. If he can't put up respectable numbers in that big a.ss ball park, what do you expect in the American League where he's gotta face a DH.

Met's don't have any impact prospects that project to be MLB stars.

I feel you for being excited about some other team's top prospect that they were happily willing to give up for a rental in Beltran. Just don't get your hopes up when he flops.

I don't even like the Yankees but you gotta be kidding me with this.

Derek Jeter
Robison Cano
Mariano Rivera

you know, 2 future hall of famers possibly 3 pending on what Cano does the rest of his career.

anyway though, I haven't followed much baseball this year, but who is this Yoenis Cespedes kid? I saw a bunch of teams are interested in him, 26 year old OF from Cuba. Saw the Cubs interested but they where saying this dude is gonna get big money 8 years $60 million. idk how I feel about that, Fukudome didn't work out so well.

Derek Jeter
Mariano Rivero
Jorge Posada (probably retiring at the end of this year but still a potential hof catcher)
Brett Gardner
Robinson Cano
David Robertson
Ivan Nova

All potential all stars every year, with the exception of Posada's last year.

Then i could throw in Montero/Noesi/Nunez if i wanted to start naming rookies who came up and looked really good

You wanna rethink that argument bro?

I'll forever call Gagne Winning the Cy Young over Schmidt Bullsh*t they should've gave that f*ggot the Rolaids relief and called it a day

but he deserved every penny the Dodgers overpaid him
and I'm sure Colletti had no problem payin it to him
