"Weed make my a.ss wanna k!ll more people" - The Notorious BIG

"fu*k Jay Z" - Tupac

Its "Kill 4 people.." Biggie was making reference to a line that Martin Lawrence said in one of his stand up comedy movies when he said that weed makes white people bug out.

"..Whoa... did u hear that man, sess just k!lled 4 people... just k!lled 4 people!..."

i always think of jay as a really intelligent dude but i think that he is missing the big picture on this one. as it has already been said by 10 other people, the commercialization and further signing of whack rappers that have no real story to tell in the first place is the problem. it all comes back to money.. the labels can't make money off of realness like kweli the way that they want to. so.. they wait for a white girl from oakland to have a catchy song that has a few million views on youtube and sign her to a million dollar deal when she has only made like three songs in her whole career. it's hard to be real when all those sixteen year old white girls with their big a.ss sunglasses and toyota camrys (who are the only people who actually still buy albums from a record store) just want something that makes their b00ty want to pop. even look at how much eminem mellowed out over the years.. relapse doesn't do well and it's dark and underground.. what does he do? he says fu*k it, get p!nk on the hook, call up rhianna and let's sell some tickets. it's all bullsh*t, but regardless, my a.ss is still bumping 1990s sh*t all day in my whip and smokin blunts. weed isn't the problem, the labels wanting that other green is. respect.

jay isn't what he was back in the day but i'd never put currensy over him....

much sh*t as I talk about jay on here, and I can't co-sign that bullsh*t.
this.. where have the hip hop heads gone on this site. a bunch of 15 yr olds runnin this sh*t now smfh.. i used to debate hip hop on here, now i put up with bullsh*t like this.. but yea i think jay is saying like how n*ggaz can make a new song about weed every week and fans eat that sh*t up.. i smoke HEAVY but i just cant dig that sh*t. music today doesnt cover topics like it used to. i dont hate currensy but hes not all that good imo. and n*ggaz like wiz are just destoying the marijuana culture in hip hop.

n*ggas are making it seem as if he said Hip Hop sucked now. All he said is that it's more mellow. I agree.. the days of " protecting your neck ", " f!ghting the power ", and calling out " sucka n*ggas " are gone. Even when n*ggas are being confrontational they're being politically correct nowadays. Passive aggressive back pedaling a.ss n*ggas are at the forefront.
