Kobe talking like he woulda had 3 rings if it was just him n no Shaq back then lol. Lazy or not Kobe wouldnt had been able to carry the Lakers back then like he does now. WASNT READY YET! Plus the played different positions. So Shaq with his size and strength can get away with the bs cuz WHO was his comp at center when he was in his prime? Now name all the guards Kobe had to deal with for 82 games during those years....NO WONDER HE HAD TO WORK HARDER THEN SHAQ!!!

now he didn't develop the j that hakeem had, but he did evolve past rippin the rim off the phuckin hinge...

dude is the reason why the rims are as solid as they are now...

he got better with his passing, and footowork... so to say dude didn't work...

I'm not buyin it... dude was a beast!

Guaranteed....if Jordan says this same thing about Shaq...everyone in this thread would be saying "Well it's true" or "Yeah, Shaq could have been more dominate than he was already if he worked harder".

But the fact that Kobe is saying it, everyone in this thread has a preconceived opinion on the Shaq/Kobe beef, and it decides what opinion they make on this subject.

Listen, Shaq is a top 3 most dominate center of all time. (Wilt/Kareem are in that argument). But he could have been clear-cut most dominate had he worked harder behind the scenes during his career. It's a well known fact; all the Kobe/Shaq stuff aside.
Um..obviously because they both were on the same team, and are both probably gonna go down as around the same ranking as best players to play the game. When you make a comment about a teammate who is as good or better than you, it generally looks like hating. Not saying it is, but that's what it looks like..you can't expect to get any other type of response.

u know what. kobe got a point but look at all the accolades shaw has done in the past 20 years. he wasn't just a ball player, he was also a business man, entertainer, etc. dude had a lotta things going for him especially when he went out to LA. then in miami he did the whole deputy sheriff thing. either way, yeah him and kobe could've had a mean run for rings on a yearly basis but shaq was trying to be more than a basketball legend. i grew up watching the NBA when shaq was a rookie, and trust me...i'm sure he's proud of the impact he's laced on not just basketball culture but black culture in general.

dude did a song with biggie, c'mon now!!! respect dat, lol:

how is it hating? Shaq proved this point the year he left LA...the Lakers had been asking him to lose weight for years because his extra weight was causing injuries and to make him more athletic and effective...he was pissed off and motivated so he spent the summer working out...and the final result?= Title
he didnt win the same year he left LA...he won the year after

"Trashes"? When is criticism "trashing"?

Kobe had every right to expect more out of Shaquille, especially if he (Shaq) wanted to be the teams leader.

Leaders set examples, and lead by example. Shaq just wasn't doing that and certainly should have been criticized.

If shaq could have hit 80% of his free throws he would be considered goat. The one and only flaw in his game.

Also...... Didn't Rodman have his own training regimen.???

& that means?

If MJ played with Shaq he would of been the 2nd option also

The ball goes through a dominant center before any G/F no matter how talented they are.
well actually the guard always brings the ball up n dumps it down low if he chooses...
