Indeed. Even if they did there wouldn't be any white people losing sleep over it. When it comes to situations like this we're (black folks) always concerned with how we look to another race. We wanna behave like a " n*gga " but we don't wanna look like and/or be called a n*gga. It's sort of like a wh0ore... she wants to run around doing all types of trife sh*t, but she doesn't wanna be labeled a wh0ore.
When white people do " off the wall " things they're not sitting around thinking about how black people are gonna receive it. They're not worried about that " setting the race back 400 years " sh*t. We're the only ones concerned with things like that. Be accountable for you and yours. That's all you can do.
Another good point. Let's be honest here, us black people are the most insecure fu*king race, I swear. And as a race we're labeled way too much, both by other races and ourselves. There are black people who behave like "n*ggas" but hate being labeled as one, like you already said. But then if a black person isn't a n*gga and is actually functional and successful in society, n*ggas call them "sellouts." It's like our race ridicules success and glorifies struggle and shortcomings. In other words, too many of us don't like to see our fellow black men and women succeed.
but to get back on the subject of minaj, if a white person wore that fried chicken chain it would hardly be news. but because it's nicki minaj, a black person, wearing it, it turns into an issue of race and stereotypes. and then all the n*ggas in this topic that say "she's setting us back 400 years" or w/e only proves your point: That we're the only ones concerned with things like that.
