Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears (3:15 CT)

Surprised this wasn't made yet.... so I made it.

Time and Place: Sunday, Sept. 25 - Soldier Field - 3:15 p.m. CDT

Channel: FOX

Weather: 63 degrees, Cloudy with a 40% chance of rain, Northeast Wind 5-10 mph

Line: Packers -3.5, O/U 46

Here are some highlights from the Packers-Bears Week 3 Dope Sheet:

PACKERS HEAD TO CHICAGO FOR NFC NORTH SHOWDOWN
  • The NFL’s oldest rivalry continues this Sunday as the Packers and Bears meet at Soldier Field for game No. 183 in the all-time series.
  • No two franchises in NFL annals have met more than Green Bay and Chicago. The Bears hold a 92-84-6 edge in the series, which includes two postseason meetings.
  • This will be the third time in the past nine months that the teams have faced off. Green Bay clinched a playoff berth with a 10-3 win over Chicago in the season finale at Lambeau Field on Jan. 2, and then three weeks later, topped the Bears at Soldier Field in just the second-ever playoff matchup between the two rivals to advance to Super Bowl XLV.
  • For the second straight season, Green Bay will head to Chicago in Week 3. The Week 3 visits are the earliest in the season that the Packers have traveled to Chicago since 1995, when the teams squared off at Soldier Field in Week 2 on Monday Night Football. From 2004-09, all six matchups between the clubs in Chicago were in December or later.
  • Including last season’s victory over Chicago in the playoffs, the Packers have won 14 of the last 19 games at Soldier Field.
  • Sunday’s kickoff time is a rarity in the series at Soldier Field. The last time the teams met in a late-afternoon contest in Chicago was on Oct. 7, 1990, at 3 p.m.

Packers vs. Bears:
All-time regular season: 83-91-6
All-time, postseason: 1-1
All-time, at Soldier Field: 20-19-0
Streaks: The Packers have won five of the last seven meetings.
Last meeting, regular season: Jan. 2, 2011, at Lambeau Field; Bears won, 20-17
Last meeting, in Chicago: Sept. 27, 2010; Bears won, 20-17

COACHES CAPSULES
Mike McCarthy: 55-34-0, .618, (incl. 5-2 postseason); 6th NFL season
Lovie Smith: 67-53-0, .558 (incl. 3-3 postseason); 8th NFL season
Head to Head: McCarthy 6-5
vs. Opponent: McCarthy 6-5 vs. Bears; Smith 8-7 vs. Packers

Looking for Tramon to come back & for So'oto to make his debut.

Wanna see Starks get the start, with Grant still getting his 5-8 carries.

I was kinda wondering the same thing as to why no trash talk yet. Just set it off on my facebook tonight too.

I'm not so concerned about what the Pack will do as I am about what Martz will do. If he balances the attack we're good. If not, I hope Caleb Hanie is ready...

Tonight at the bar, me and a couple of my boys were talking about running backs. They think I'm crazy because I think Matt Forte is better than Chris Johnson. (The other argument was.... they say I'm stupid, because I would take LeSean McCoy over Adrian Peterson). A huge reason the Packers have been giving up so many passing yards, is due to late releases from the RB's and TEs. As Pistol Peter can vouch for, I fu*king hate facing Forte. The guy is criminally underrated.

Sunday will be a good game. I'm nervous about the loss of Nick, and the lack of our pass rush. If Tramon can come back and be near 100% healthy--that'll help. I believe Shields, Woodson, and Williams can make up a big portion of losing Nick Collins. (FYI--It's irritating to see SportsCenter essentially ignore how big of a loss Nick Collins is. They'll talk all day about Vick, Romo, which I get... but Charles, and Foster--yet won't mention Nick Collins. I blame fantasy football for that).

Edit: Note to James Jones. Hang on to the fu*king ball.

Same here. Lions haven't gone 3-0 since the 80's I believe. You'd swear by the way their fans are acting, that they're one game away from the Super Bowl.

my n*gga joe...whats good my dude?

i think teams are going to figure out that it's forte and cutler against the world and will game plan against them..you shut them down and you will literally have zero problems against the bears offense

fu*k em both!!!

The Bears as usual will leave poor Jay Cutler out to dry, the Pack will sack him at least 4 time and hurry him 10 never giving him a chance to establish a rhythm. It probably would help if Martz believed in actually running the ball and playing a little smash mouth football, I think the Bears would be better suited trying to play hard nose against the Pack but it won't happen their gonna run their usual gimmick offense I don not see it being very effective Sunday.

The Pack will have to deal with a solid Bears D though if they can turn ARod over they have a chance, they also need some help from the return game maybe give Chi some good field position. But I think the Packers will take this matchup.

dont even try it sir my opinion been voiced for a long while now. I been calling your team out all offseason, and I love how fans outside of the div recognize our team is ready but the North still seems to think this is some sort of lucky winning streak

Well it dont matter cause the numbers dont lie. And yall out your fu*king minds thinking the Vikings gonna beat us, please people STOP WATCHING VINTAGE NFL in 2011 the Vikings suck and the Lions dont.

Bout to drop 30 on their nice little defense.

lol i meant no disrespect..it's just that i'm not use to having to deal with a third fanbase from the nfc north on boxden..for the longest it's been the top 3 dogs going at it..but you people coming in from out of nowhere is a culture shock to me

that's good for you guys though

If the Bears offenseive line can protect Cutler for longer than a half a second and Martz and Lovie decide to RUN THE DAMN BALL MORE then it should be a good even match.

Wanna see my Bears give the Pack their first L of the season
