Its not just about conditioning. sh*t keeps a defense from making the right defensive call and from having the right personal in.

That's the point though. To throw the defense off balance. The thing to do is prepare ALL your guys for situations like that in practice. Then, when you get a stop or two, the opposing team will have to recollect themselves and you can make the switches.

Exactly, good coaches simulate that sh*t practice. When its game time they'll adjust to it easier and have the right personnel in when other players get winded.
