Definitely doin my homework with this boom goin on in North Dakota. Currently in NJ & would drive 1900 miles to make this happen. I would love to get out there and start a new life for sure. Still researchin before makin the plunge . Seems like alot of people keep talkin about wireline jobs being where its at. That oil money is real tho that's for sure.
yea soon as i get done with this community service im gettin the fuk and goin to williston

The future definitely looks very promising in North Dakota as of right now man.

"North Dakota oil output may double by mid-2017"

"North Dakota passes another oil production mark"

"Williston: The North Dakota Oil Boom (Youtube Documentary) "

The oil boom is real (my firm is one of the major engineering consultants in the North Dakota oil boom). It's not only laborers that are needed, there's also a shortage of engineers, techs, procurement specialists and other admin and supporting roles. This is the time to partake in the oil and gas industry. And most of the careers I stated, you wouldn't need to relocate to North Dakota. Not trying to steer folks away from being a laborer, just shedding light on all th opportunities that are available right now!

Not to sound stupid but would you mind elaborating on how someone could take advantage economically from another state ? From what iv'e gathered online the big bucks for people just getting there foot in the door with no experience seem to be in the rig jobs or the wiremen jobs but you have to work there and of course lots of overtime you have to put in to cash in.Im in new jers and would love to get in on some real oil money without having to travel 1900 miles. But if that's what's needed , then so be it.Thanks for the intellectual input too
If you're talking about no experience at all, your best bet for the highest starting pay would be the laborer positions at the rigs. What I was trying to get at is depending on your background, there are plenty of careers available in oil and gas and right now is a good time to jump into it.
