The oil boom is real (my firm is one of the major engineering consultants in the North Dakota oil boom). It's not only laborers that are needed, there's also a shortage of engineers, techs, procurement specialists and other admin and supporting roles. This is the time to partake in the oil and gas industry. And most of the careers I stated, you wouldn't need to relocate to North Dakota. Not trying to steer folks away from being a laborer, just shedding light on all th opportunities that are available right now!
