We're one of the richest countries in the world borrowing money from China, right?

I expect this to be followed by QE3! Lego
We are in fact the richest country in out world and by far the biggest economy in the world. People keep thinking government can create jobs. That's a farce. Unless Obama is ready to start WPA part two then this really won't help. Cutting taxes won't help either and neither will budget cuts. The problem with job creation right now is a lack of consumer demand and uncertainty in business forecasting.

Two major pieces of legislation were passed close together. The Health Care Act and the Frank/Dodd "Wall Street Reform" bill. Both will effect major rule changes and their total impact on tax policy and the operational cost of hiring is still somewhat up in the air. Frank-Dodd rulles are being written now and the Health care bill doesn't kick in fully until 2013 or 2014. The air of uncertainty won't allow for sustained hiring until then. The other major problem is this overcutting of government budgets. The private sector continues to create jobs ( at a marginal rate and have more than enough capital to sustain hiring) but the public sector is negating those gains because the budget cutting is requiring large numbers of gvt. jobs to be lost. Every lost job public or private is another hit on hiring because that is one less person putting money back into the economy.

I never said anything about government creating jobs.... That was in response to people thinking the government putting money into the economy is practically considering we do not have the money. That QE3 was sarcasm.

It's his last gasp for air before being suffocated by stronger candidates in the new election. Don't be fooled by the fascade, this is just another gimmick and an expensive one at that.

Okay, so wherever we would get the 300 billi from should keep the money and we stay jobless. You haven't even heard the pitch yet and you're criticizing.

You bi*ches, just like Congress, won't even allow him to fu*k up. Why not? The country is already in the sh*tter. Give the man the opportunity to try at least because what we're doing right now is bullsh*t.

Lol at the notions in this thread....we need to spend to fix our infrastructures. Not only do they badly need fixed but it also creates jobs....now it does suck we have to spend 300 billion because we could have used the money from not giving rich a fu*king tax break but don't blame Obama for that sh*t. I said this months ago but Biden once let you search back far anymore

We NEED to spend to up our education, fix our infrastructures and something else I forget (just woke up) and the estimate was about 700 billion to do these things a if last January. Instead the repubs wanted to give that money to the rich in tax breaka instead of using the money for what we need but its obamas fault :birdman:

Am I the only one who remembers the supposed economic stimulus plan that was passed a few years ago that was supposed to create jobs? What happened with that? Oh that's right, it didn't create sh*t. It just kept some federal jobs from getting cut.

This fool's already spent more than Bush did in 8yrs. And what do we have to show for it? All you blind a.ss sheep that keep saying "it takes money to make money" or the bullsh*t "he's just trying to clean up what Bush left" are fooling yourselves. He's been spending money and we don't have anymore left. We just keep spending and keep spending to try and fix the problem. What they need to do is cut spending (along with private interests) and reinvest that money in some actual change.

It created jobs but not nearly enough. And there's a huge difference between 800 billi and 300 bill. I don't get it though. That plan wasn't successful so we scrap trying to create jobs altogether? Whatever happened to learning from our past experiences?

A lot of people in here are sounding like you want to stop government spending which is impossible. You have to spend money to make money. Right now, we're hoarding money...well debt anyway. We don't stand a chance in hell if we don't come together and get this thing right once and for all. We don't do that by sitting idle.

Its possible but there are too many c*ck suckers out there who just don't want to see it done under the Obama administration. Let's listen to what he proposes to do before we start sh*tting on him.

What planet are you on dude? What have you been reading? People don't want it to happen under the Obama admin. beacuse he's a hypocritical, special interest loving, war starting idiot. He lost the majorities faith awhile ago. No one gives a sh*t what color he is.

What if he just gave the 300 billion to regular citizens in a calculated manner. For instance, college graduates and people who have business plans, get the most share for what they want to run. The problem with capitalism is the rich get rich and the poor get poorer. The rich are greedy as fu*k and the poor people have a very difficult time making it out

Wouldn't that automatically create millions of jobs while redistributuing the wealth and also helping out established business to grow? Sounds like a win win to everyone.

Or how about wiping out student loans to college graduates so that they can be free to create businesses with the extra money....

We need some new sh*t.
