It's funny because being the smallest under the radar NFL team they are, almost no one knows the actual deal with Jacksonville. Everyone on here like, "fans gotta be pissed!" "on suicide watch!" which is the opposite effect the Jax fans are feeling.

Jax hated dude because he got that big contract after his fluke '07 season and he's been mediocre the rest. Garrard is a middle of the road QB, and he can be an a.sset to a run first team like San Fran. But he will not win games for you. You'll win regardless of him. Dude is the definition of inconsistent. Pro Bowler for a some plays then, "what were we thinking?" the rest. He's also a sack machine (don't believe? check the stats.) Runs into sacks more than any QB I've seen which is weird because he's hard to tackle sometimes and is a mobile QB. Didn't make sense. He also cannot process an NFL defense to save his life, he holds on to the ball way too long.

Everyone thinks this is a step down at QB for the Jags when it's more than likely the opposite. Their offensive coordinator is probably giddy as hell, knowing he can actually call complicated plays now that Garrard isn't there. He had to simplify everything because Garrard couldn't go through progressions and couldn't process defenses. He can't lead WRs on throws. He has to wait til they are completely open and then he throws it them.

McCown is just as good, he beat him out of his job, what does that tell you?

Man fu*k that sh*t. Garrard has been sh*tted on down there for years by that a.sshat of a coach Del Rio. Garrard deserves better than they have treated him. Watch these fools be in the top draft pick convo at the end of the year while that f*ggot MJD is on twitter talking about guys in the playoffs injuries like he didnt have the same injury and shut it down the last three games with a playoff berth on the line.

Garrard is a boss and Del Rio should have been fired years ago!!!
Lol gotta be the worst post in this thread

You do know how Garrard got his '09 Pro Bowl appearance right? Every other guy ahead of him turned their appearance down. He got in even though he was only voted the 6th best AFC QB. He didn't earn the spot, it was given by way of others not wanting to show.

Garrard got that contract because he DID have a good year in 2007. The Jags made a bad move and pulled the trigger too soon stupidly before they saw him start consecutive seasons and he was mediocre the rest of his tenure. He was going to lose his job last year after throwing 4 Interceptions by the 3rd Quarter and got benched for McCown and McCown went 11 of 19 for 120 yards and then tore his ACL, keeping Garrard's job safe.

Want to know how much NFL defenses feared Garrard? Here's the former Titans senior writer and current ESPN AFC South writer Paul Kuharsky:

"The Titans don't hold Garrard in high regard, from what I know, and I don't think they are celebrating that he won't be on the field Sunday at EverBank Field. "

That says it all. If the Titans don't hold him in high regard....

"Garrard's final game was one of his worst. He was hit repeatedly in last week's preseason finale against St. Louis and misfired on four of five passes. He ended the night with an animated exchange with his offensive line on the sideline.

That, too, had become an issue inside the facility, with Garrard pointing the finger more often than taking the blame.
"

Dude never took responsibility and threw his teammates under the bus during the preseason. Was probably one of the main reasons he got the axe.

Yo to all the cats saying it was a dumb move... Go back and watch the preseason game versus the Falcons and Bills... DVR it or something, watch how awful Garrard looked. I been a supporter of his for years but its time to move on. He just doesn't have the it factor and we gave him a huge contract and he hasn't lived up to it.

Granted his pro bowls were giving to him because other QBs backed out but he still put up solid enough numbers to go.

I hope he lands a job fast... he's not horrible by any means. He's just more of a game manager than a changer.

No NFL team has ever moved because of attendance. EVER. Not to mention Jags didn't have 1 blackout ALL YEAR last year. The Bucs, Rams, and Bills had plenty.

Only NFL teams that moved, did so because of Stadium Issues. Jacksonville has no stadium issues.

The Chargers, 49ers, Vikings, and Bills do though... so...

Why is it people always want to blame the QB when the team underachieves? Yeah Garrard may have played at times but where are Jags fans who know that they suffered a ton of injuries to their defense and RBs in recent years. Or how about the year all the linemen for them went down or was shot which k!lled anything they were gonna be able to do offensively? Wait, dont forget the depleting of the veterans they had throughout that team that have never been replaced or how about WRs who get shot while sneaking around with cheerleaders that have crazy ex boyfriends. I didnt even mention the always hurt or banged up in a time of need pus*y MJD.

I could go on all day with the bad sh*t that has hurt this franchise recently and did way more harm to their success than Garrard did but I guess it's just easier to blame him and move on. This sh*t is a team sport that requires 53 players, 14 coaches, a ton of good front office people and a willing owner to be able to succeed not just one damn player especially when that player isnt the best in that position. You n*ggas are pathetic and the dumbest bunch of clowns ever if you can sit here and pretend that garrard alone is why they have underperformed.

Then again, maybe you're just ignorant to the facts or blinded by what the media wants you to believe.
