Rolling Stone Magazine Crowns Eminem The "King Of Hip Hop"

The magazine has released a list quantifying and qualifying the major players in Hip Hop.

Rolling Stone magazine has crowned Eminem the "King of Hip Hop," ranking him above Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj and more.

The magazine claims that the list doesn't measure the "all-time greatest," but rather analyzes data like album sales, YouTube hits and social networking popularity to determine who has the highest index number.

Additional artists to make the final cut include Gucci Mane, Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Big Boi, B.o.B, Lupe Fiasco, Pitbull, Kid CuDi and a handful of others.

I lost 99% of my respect when I noticed he outranked Nicki Minaj as KING of hip-hop.

The additional 1% was seeing the 'final cut' artists; Diddy, Gucci and Pitbull.

Rolling Stone isn't considered a true hip hop publication so this is on some TMZ sh*t.

They went based on album sales from 2009 to now....just to slight Wayne lmao

And this sh*t holds no weight, if the included sales from the past ten years the top would still be eminem but you have artist that REALLY sold records like 50,nelly, Luda, jay, dmx, etc.

And if they went based on album sales why is snoop on the list?

rolling stone is wack and doesn't understand hip hop. eminem never even beefed with a reputable rapper. how the fu*k is he the king of rap. all this dude's beefs have been attacking people who either don't rap or are wack rappers that were never popular.

So when he comes here to the UK nobody knows who he is.

This is about a magazine ranking, not a place to spout your personal hate

They really need to make up their mind, cause like just last year they proclaimed Jay the "King of America".

This is the one time I agree with ya, and I don't even listen to Jay. RS is not a hip hop publication. That would be like XXL crowning Aerosmith the best rock band of all time, they have no credentials to crown anybody anything in hip hop.

Rolling Stone didn't crown him sh*t. They created a formula and ran rappers through it, and Em came out on top. It's not like they actively chose him
