Im going to give this album a 2-2.5. We are talking about Jay-Z and Kanye West. These guys are the 2 of the biggest stars in hip hop and this is what they produced? Maybe because I'm from the golden era of hip hop when a album dropping was truly a big deal. But this album is not good. murder for Excellence, Why I Love You, Otis and Primetime. And Primetime is just ok. Just my view. 3 out of 16 is not a good album. Jay has not impressed in years. Kanye's Last album was the sh*t. Pops in a classic Reasonable Doubt

3/5, I was really expecting more from both. That new day track was total sh*t tho, I can't even listen to it because of the fvcking autotune.

Who gon stop me....ok the first part of the song where the beat builds and kanye is rapping is fu*king epic, the second half of the song with Jay is underwhelming.

They should of slowed the beat back down, Jay come in and the beat builds again, then finish if off with the change up....would of been so much better.

Most of people calling it classic wont even listen to it 3 months from now

NOTHING BUT TIME CAN MAKE A ALBUM CLASSIC
time! Its the only thing that can really determine that

As much as I loved MBDTF as a whole picture
I cant get through the entire album now... I only listen to a few tracks
Albums sometimes do have outstanding tracks, with low relay value

I honestly think that WTT is sounding too much like a raw version of MBDTF
But it reflects the same approach when it comes to art and music

It sounds good overall cuz production and mixing are clean as hell

At the end of the day i think some tracks would grow on people's mind and the rest would be forgotten and forgetable and not espacially the ones youre thinking about now

Even though the album is like a painting

I think this is the kind of album that just ... Seem to be flawless and original lon first look
But not speechless

BUT The bottom line is, its pretty average and lazy sometime

I dont think it will age well.

Period

This.

The production on a handful of the tracks is just amazing, but if I want to listen to something that sounds like those tracks, well, I wouldn't be browsing the hiphop folder, let's just put it that way.

(Time for a new genre, so we don't have to call this sh*t rap or hip hop anymore. And I'm not saying this with hate... I'm just saying - I don't think this album and say, Elmatic are of the same genre of music).

Anyways...

- Nice punch lines drop every now and then. Some of the world play is just , but the delivery, flow, consistency is lacking.

- Catchy beats, sampling, production.

- For the most part, what the fu*k are these dudes rapping about tho? The only track that came close to painting a sort of story/message in my head was the one where Ye talks about "a son" and how he doesn't want him to do all the fu*ked up sh*t that he's done - the only track that actually went somewhere. Everything else is like spaghetti - they sound great, but lyrically all over the place. I may just have to listen to it some more...

3/5 for me. I fux widdit, but $50 says that a few weeks from now, this album will be out of rotation for me, sans a couple tracks here and there (like 'Gotta Have It').

i maybe the only one who likes lift off here lmao..

but yea this sh*t sounds like MBDTF to be honest, which i loved, but dont think ill listen to in the future really.

The most replay value i have from kanye is his first three albums, College Drop out, Late Reg and Graduation all have great replay value. and some tracks from 808s,

jay- obv blue print is probably has the most replay value, and some of his earlier stuff, but this doesnt even feel like a jay album, this is really kanye ft jay on everything.

so overall a great album, but this is like MBDTF part 2 ft. Jay-Z, which is good and all but i just cant get into this time of sound to bump all the time. I wanted some just records, these try to be too much artistic musically to be simple clean classic records.

Hip Hop is looking so bad right now and the two greats put out a fabolous album. Appreciate it. There is nothing on the market even competing with this work of art.

i like both artist but i'm sorry this is not a 5/5 album. It's not a Blueprint, American Gangster or Reasonable Doubt or Late Registration or College Dropout.

Seems like Kanye dominated most of the songs.

It's different from the sh*t i've been hearing so it's listenable but i'll really have to listen it. The most this gets from is a 3/5.

I can't judge yet. 3 tracks in! I'm amazed! Music needs to stop leaking if this is what it's like.
