My problem with public school teachers. They do enough to get you by. Not many teachers in a public school can actual reach kids, its not an easy thing to do. I went to the best public school in my city (GPA/graduation rate wise) and guess what I only had maybe 5 GOOD teachers who actually pushed me as a student. Yeah you hate on em for giving you extra work but you look at other teachers and realize they were more or less taking up space/time and those couple of GOOD teachers really made a difference. Now imagine a school filled with such teachers, you don't think if the class received higher test grades and the teacher receives a raise next year he wont try to out do himself? Children in The US would be striving for success not mediocrity.
