Then again you probably aren't aware of the fact that most hip surgeries take up to a year to fully recover from and that's without any set backs, which in most cases, is a certainty no matter the athlete.

100%. We've seen many teams across a number of leagues miss the obvious tell tale signs of possible long term health issues, I don't see why you think team docs are fault proof.
