Wrong. Em was around before he signed to Dre and couldn't get a traditional label (Def Jam/Priority/Universal/etc...) to sign him and he never accomplished much as an independent artist compared to many others.

It's not just about gimmicks, hits and skills. It's also about resources. Dre gave him the resources including the platform that he needed in order to make it. Only a few rappers out there really made it on their own and Em is not one of them.
I know that's why I said em made his self I.e. Infinite

People really hatin on Clue?

Dude was ahead of his time...he was "THE" mixtape DJ before mixtape DJ's...nobody had the exclusives Clue had...he paved the way for the mixtape...the internet and all the artists & dj's did was fu*k it all up...

Fab would be a nobody without Clue

His feature on superwoman opened doors for him tho. But that opportunity prolly came through dj clue.
...It did. That beat was originally for M.O.P. and prolly produced by Clue. And yeah, he's mad formulaic...But there aren't too many (if any) mainstream rappers who aren't. Speaking of Fab, whatever happened to the 'Triangle Offense' with Paul Cain and Joe Budden?

it was a joke, but him trying to give himself cred over THE LOX(diddy),CAMRON(biggie),KANYE(D.DOT, but really THE ROC),DRAKE(cashmoney),ETC. like he put himself on is a JOKE as well. thats it, im obvious adding some more fuel. but him saying that line is some bullsh*t and thats how i feel dun dun.

nahh, if he didn't have someone black already backing him that hard he would have not had as much appeal..what u don't get is that Eminem sells for being the only white dude surrounded by a bunch of black n*ggas, not just for being white..meaning he wouldn't of had as much urban fans

This. Just listen to Em's freakin verses on "I Need a Doctor", Em would have gotten nowhere without Dre just like 50.

Here people go blowing that old a.ss line out of proportion. Dude is simply stating that he wasn't backed by any of the BIG names mentioned and he STILL made it, and though many today have went this route it is still a feat. Sweet tracks aside, Fab is top 10 without a doubt.

was this not one of the biggest commercial hits of Fsb's career
Why did they replace T-Pain with Jermaine Dupri for the hook I have his CD layin' here and the original was way better.

Anyway, why does he twitter this? Did something happen with his label, his last album was on Def Jam....

he was backed by def jam for majority of his career. Lets not act like during the early 2000 that def jam wasnt running the game. DMX, Jay-z, Ja Rule, Ludacris, Kanye west
Also add fabolous makes pop music.

I just love how people forgot how big def jam was before russell sold it and jay-z took it to the sh*tter.

lol n*ggas is haters....lol Fab is one of the best artists out...He's VERY consistent, a dope lyricist and Didn't get help from any of those people he mentioned...n*ggas say "He had Clue!" Clue was the little n*gga on Rocafella...and he was wit Clue BEFORE he was even ON the Roc...lol DJ Drama tried to but Willie The Kid and LA the Darkman on...and that sh*t didnt work...yall actin like it was automatic that he got put on...lol and He has only released TWO albums and an EP on Def Jam...thats not the majority of his career...
