I feel you. Too many kids going to college blindly these days. They just want a degree, but don't know what the hell they're gonna do with it. I say it's better to take a year or two and figure out what you wanna do, then get a degree in it and go for it rather than just going to college and expecting to land somewhere safe in the end.
Word.. I try to tell my young guys back home that. College isnt really needed, but good planning is a must.
Like im in West Virginia, and here you can go to college owe money and its still gonna always be coal miners making more money then you after college and they been working since outta high school. Even having a trade in Power plant Control rooms, Electricians, and Specialized vehicle operater (Fork Lifts, Tripple 7 Dozers and ect.) All these small programs with 2 years at the most in training will pay far more then what imma have to hustle for on my 4 year.
Almost makes me regret the 4 years.
