you really think a contender is gonna give up a first round pick and a player for rip?
what's so funny about that? you honestly think rip's not worth a late first-rounder and some bum a.ss bench rider?

and for the record, paying somebody their salary to NOT play for your team isn't a "boss move"

Jesus, you've got a pretty long leash on a guy who hasn't made a good move in nearly a decade.
He's getting a Glory Days G-Pass. I don't see him being able to sign any "Big Names" so he has to do it thru the draft and younger/mid-level players. He aint close with this roster, I'ma give him a chance to clean it up cause the sh*t is a mess!

if it wasn't for his contract id say yes, but people who would be interested in him wont have the cap to get him. if he gets bought out, i expect the bulls to make a push hard.

Actually I do, if they are serious about contending. Rip is more then capable and he's a veteran despite his behavior against Coach Q.

If you are Chicago you need to be offering a pick and Taj. If we not gonna get anything for him we might as well keep him.

If you don't think Rip help a contending team get over the top then you don't know Pistons ball, Rip can still give you numbers.

there is 0 chance we give up Taj for Rip Like I said that wouldn't even work out salary wise anyway, he makes to much money.

B Knight would push Michael Jordan out if they were on the same team, so.....

Long overdue anyway. They should have bought him out back in Jan-Feb.

They tried that more than once, he trying to milk that whole damn contract, at this point I would cut him, and count my losses, if it was only that easy

Wow. I never read into the whole story. I was just happy he didn't get bought out because there was rumored interest in Boston, and I thought he'd of been a perfect fit in Chicago. That's retarded on his part though. I know he already has a ring, but he's made a sh*tload of money over his career + Team Jordan. At 32-33 he should be chasing multiple rings more than anything. Plus, his last few years in Detroit hasn't quite gone so well.

But yeah, they should definitely just cut him outright and take the L. There's no use for him at all on that team. Now that they have the real true Point God, I'm a.ssuming Stuckey moves over to his natural position on the wing, plus they have Gordon.

the heat need a bigman first. They need someone to do some dirty work and be a presence on the block on the defensive end. (I.e someon like a tyson chandler..) But not so limited where its 4 on 5 on the offensive end. Joel is a solid back up center.. but he shouldn't start. atleast not on a championship contending team.
I think Rip would do well on the bulls, it gives them that wing scorer that they need. And rip wouldnt break the flow of the offense, only because he doesnt demand the ball to score
