Maggette and Jackson both have the same contract.

Udrih's is shorter than Salmons though.

Either way it's a lateral move.

They get rid of Salmons and Maggettes bumass contracts

I loved Stephen Jackson in Charlotte. He was a great teammate, tried to play through injuries & was very clutch.
The problem with him last year is that he didn't shoot that great & he constantly cries to the officials.

In my opinion this is a great trade for the 'Cats. It's not like they were gonna go to the playoffs this next season with Jackson. So why not trade him away for somebody you don't have to baby & also add a lottery pick.
But, you basically swapped Maggette for Jackson who is the same guy but he wont be a great teammate, wont play through injuries and isnt very clutch. I think MJ took a step back with this one.

I guess the best thing that came out of it for them was acquiring that second lottery pick. Who do you think the Cats will take with both those picks in the top ten?

It really isn't.

Jackson and 2 backup PG's aren't better than Salmons and Maggette. It's a wash.
You're looking at it from a Bulls fan perspective. You are actually hoping the deal doesnt work so there is no competition in your division.

Step away as a Bulls fan and check the deal out again.

I have no idea. I wouldn't be surprised to see them somehow draft Adam Morrison & Sean May again. lol

Hopefully they won't screw it up though.

Read the thread, Maggette and Jackson have the same contract.

Salmons makes less than Livingston and Udrih combined.

They didn't solve anything with money, they took on more of it.

n*gga Livingston is a 1 year contract and Udrih only has 2 years... Much easier to move Livington this year, or Udrih next year, or either of them in separate deals than it was to move Salmons overpaid contract

Jackson is better than Maggette

Cats with 2 top 10 pics...

Salmons always fit in Sac...this doesnt look like a bad trade for any team....

and to ChiCity- Maggette's contract is 2x worse than Jacksons for the simple fact he's injury prone and often disappears...while jax is a veteran, leader...and hard nosed

Bucks are morons

Thank you Stern for having us in the Central Division.
the bucks will be in the playoffs off the strength of this trade....gives them a legit go to guy in Sjax instead of that volume shooting under 40% from the field pg....Beno is underrated watch what he does under a legit coach

Charlotte wanted to get into a better spot in order to get Tristan Thompson, which they should be able to do now with the 7th pick.

Kings will most likely be going after Jimmer now, and theres word out that Kemba is dealing with a knee injury that could scare some teams from picking him so high

I also really liked Shaun Livingston this year. I think Bucks fans will be pleasantly surprised.
He was surprisingly athletic, throwing down some really nice dunks in traffic. He also is a very good at posting up smaller defenders (Don't forget he's 6'7).
Also don't forget he played in 73 games this past season, easily the most in his career.

Another thing, the money might match per year but the Bucks got from under longer deals not just per year compensation

Who's Tristan Thompson?....I wouldn't be surprised If the bobcats didn't trade the 7th and 9th pick to try to get the 1st or something...Cavs wth 3 picks in the top 10 would help more than just the 1st...at least thats what I think

Bucks won on that deal imo, when I look at that roster now, they are looking like a tougher team to beat then last year.

Its also good for Bobcats imo as they were not gonna do much this year anyways, time to rebuild.

Both Bucks and Bobcats were on the outside looking in in the playoffs race last year, those two teams were about even.

Good luck to the Bobcats, time to rebuild with some young talent like my pacers have done.

Toe-may-toe. Toe-mah-toe. Jackson scored more points because he was on a worse team.
