Pat Riley Will Not Listen to Trade Offers for Miami Heat Big 3

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh Will Not Be Part of Any NBA Trade Rumors

As far back as November there have been whispers of the Miami Heat potentially trying to trade one of the members of the much maligned, yet celebrated big three.

Even as the Heat lost the 2011 NBA finals to the Dallas Mavericks the thought of trading away LeBron James somehow entered the equation, but no matter how much scrutiny the Heat have faced for their complete meltdown in the finals Pat Riley has come out and declared that he will not take trade offers for any of the big three.

As reported by Matt Moore of NBC Sports the New York Daily News reports Riley won’t listen to potential trading situations regarding the big three.

Not long after LeBron James’ Finals flameout, Miami president Pat Riley has sent word to other league execs: He’s not breaking up his Big Three.

Honestly, I’m not sure why the thought of trading one of the three just a year into the Heat’s experiment would even come up.

At this point the logical thing to do would be to give the Heat the benefit of doubt in their first year as a unit, and trust that their talent will eventually pull them through.

Do they need to strongly consider adding better pieces and role players to the lineup? I believe the answer here is a firm yes, but trading away one of their top three players is not the solution.

Pat Riley has enough experience to eventually figure out how to steer the Heat, and apparently he agrees that trading away his three most talented commodities is out of the question at this point.

We here at Bleacher Report are dedicated to keeping you filled in on all of the latest sports news, entertainment and analysis. I will be working hard to keep you up to date on the latest NBA trade rumors, so stay tuned to this update thread for all the information you need!

NBA Trade Rumors: Pat Riley Will Not Listen to Trade Offers for Miami Heat Big 3 | Bleacher Report

(another article)

Not long after LeBron James' Finals flameout, Miami president Pat Riley has sent word to other league execs: He's not breaking up his Big Three. That's too bad - for the rest of the NBA.

HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: The Miami Heat, according to Executive Pat Riley, do not want to break up 'The Three Kings'.

Translation: the Heat do not want to trade Chris Bosh. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were never going anywhere.

'Oli Slick' Riley knows he can’t get equal value in a trade for James or Wade. Such a thing is impossible. So such a trade isn't happening.

Love them or hate them, 'The King' and 'D-Wade' are firmly entrenched as the faces of South Beach. Basketball’s greatest villains are returning.

Bosh’s status wasn’t so certain. He struggled to find his place amongst his superstar teammates. And his more introverted, bookish personality seemed at odds with the glitz-and-glamour of James and Wade.

There were suggestions the Heat would shop Bosh in hopes of upgrading their supporting cast.

Not anymore, though. Riley saw Bosh’s true value in the playoffs. And he wants to keep his left-handed four-man.

Wanting and doing are different. Riley may have to trade Bosh because of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The CBA may include a hard cap and/or salary rollback, which would force changes. Bosh, and his max contract, would likely be sacrificied, so the Heat can comply with the new cap.

Bottom line: the Heat want Bosh. But they might not be able to keep him.

I knew they would not even think about trading him because one riley has a big ego and suggesting a trade after 1 season would hurt his ego, believe that.

only idiots thought this was possible. i wouldn't entertain anything other than a bosh for dwight swap but even then that might make us easier to defend because all 3 of them need to score in the paint, bosh keeps defenses somewhat honest with his range. but dwight obviously has other benefits.

That being the reason why. So you are correct. Fail a few more times with no rings, then maybe.

That said, I'd trade LeBron for Howard today and watch the Heat win 70 games.

and LeBron is the only one that would be traded out of the three for someone like Dwight... other than that, no trades in the big 3 in Miami will happen... and the chances of that are 1/never lol

Dawg we just need a scoring big man and maybe Mack or Reggie. I want Reggie, 6'3 with a 7'0 wingspan, is that normal?

He'll listen but I dont think he trades.

Has to be a hugely impressive offer like Superstar for superstar or a ton of key role players (like in the Melo trade)
