I'm trying to buy a used car but I dont want to get in a hole with paying for maintence. Out of Audi, BMW or Mercedes which has more Expensive Maintence?

How much does regular maintence cost on these cars?

Would you recommend this car to your friends?

In your opinion which has the better vaule and will last the longest?

depends on the dealer honestly...BMW brand new you dont have to pay for maintenance, but you're going used so that doesn't seem like an option. Your maintenance will include oil changes, tire rotations if applicable, cabin filters, engine filters, differential oil changes, tires and brakes. There were be some other things like spark plugs for major service intervals (60-70k), but these will be the major things you'll have to keep up with. Now the prices for these will services will be different from dealer to dealer, your best bet is finding an independent shop familiar with the vehice and go that route. That'll save you the most money.

no offense but if you're worried about maintenance costs, you shouldn't be considering a used luxury car.

As for maintence im not sure if it would be an more expensize then a regular vehicle, nissan, toyota etc. Not sure if they take a certain kind of oil or what not.

As for the vehicle life thats a tough question. It really depends on your driving habits and if you maintain the vehicle when needed.

^^ I have an 03 A4 and I grabbed it 2 years ago and so far I've been pretty lucky with the maintenance... but I have to change the brakes and the tires soon and Im not lookin forward to that... tires prob gon cost me 7-800 and brakes probably around the same.... let alone the 120 for oil changes... the extra cost for premium gas.... if I could go back I woulda bought a domestic and waited until I was financially secure before getting an import

120 for an oil change? WTF are you using, gold infused synthetic or something?

my oil change runs me about 50 for the 6 quarts of mobile 1 and the bosch filter.

and brakes run about 70 for a decent set for me. even with the dual pistons in the front.

do some work yourself and save some cash.

Pretty much. I was looking at the BMW 5 series for a while but every person I talked to who owned one told me they spent a grip on repairs and maintenance.

Simple:

If you actually enjoy driving and enjoy the way the car reacts to turns and whatnot then there's only one brand BMW.

If you like cruising then Mercedes or Audi are more than capable of getting you from a to b in style!

WRONG, Mercedes is the most expensive on maintenance & threadstarter should just make sure to get a used beemer or audi wit low K and warranty still intact
