In the end its all in how you perceived his comments. My problem with LeBron is he meant something different than what came across but he didnt come out and explain it more. That's more my problem with him all the time, he'll say or do something with certain intentions but when it comes across wrong he doesnt fix the problem or has his PR team fix it which tends to make people believe either he doesnt give a fu*k or that's what he meant all along which we know isnt true.

In the end he needs to get a real good PR person to handle all his media sh*t.

Exactly, it's always the same 5 OR 6 nyggas slurping Bron in every thread. If it's not Hotepson it's Gottagat, if not Gottagat it's Arson. If it aint Arson it's Maroon Tiger, etc etc we can go on and on and on. I already opened the thread KNOWING already who'd be kissing Bron's a.ss and I was right. You'd think Lebron was Malcolm X or some irreplaceable a.sset to the black community the way he's defended. These same 6 or 8 nyggas make Lebron out to be some kind of heroistic figure who must be embraced at all costs for the greater sake of humanity.

dude is a straight up coward, what does my life or any1 else life have to do w/ the fact that you failed my n*gga, you are pretty much the sole reason your team loss, along with Spoelstra's bum a.ss coaching, and you want to deflect criticism onto petty sh*t like your detractors "regular lives", what type of loser a.ss n*gga is even thinking of some sh*t like that at a time when he said it? That just shows me that Lebron is extremely weak minded character, take some responsibility for your actions, and I understand that a question was asked and he just gave his response, but you can tell in his body language n his gay lil smirk that he was just waiting to make that remark, like that is going to make up for his individual failings by throwing a little jab at your haters, this n*gga should be focused on taking a look in the mirror and owning up to playing like a coward in his biggest moment and than worry about every1 else

Accountability. why he gotta depend on someone else to fix his problems? if he doesn't understand that he's probably one of the biggest celebrities right now and EVERYTHING he says and does will be constantly scrutinized, then he needs to sit back and take a good hard look at life.

Lebron said the truth and I had no problem with it cause "FANS" should know its entertainment, even when my team loses I say hey I enjoyed the season and I go on about my life, If you pretend like this guy does then you arent enjoying your life like you should be and you need to do more. I would never put aside personal problems in my life to watch a sports game unless I had money on it, if you do avoid personal problems to watch sports you have another personal problem to add to that list, cause whether you like it or not if your just a fan, sports does not pay your bills

nope. Lol. We dont have to delusion ourselves into liking sports because they dont matter. Who kind of dumbass with no historical knowledge says something so stupid. In any so called advanced society, sports are of the utmost importance, whether we look at ancient african, greek, mayan, roman civilizations, people see sport as representative of the values society holds dear. In our case we are a highly individualistic and selfish society that indulges in excess eating, consuming of world resources, and racism and s3xism, and homophobia, and our current athletes reflect that despite us contradictorily chiding them for being what we make and ask them to be. Furthermore, sports have deep meaning which is why they matter today. When you look at how joe louis was used as a propaganda tool to the us in wwii, or jackie robinson, jack johnson, jim brown, all of these guys show that sports is highly meaningful and not just people running up a field for entertainment purposes.

So with that said though lebron isnt any of those guys, he had every right to take a stance on people who have made him a media pinata. His fans dont care about what he said ( i know i didnt cause i liked it) and he told the truth. This guy makes a decent arguement but ultimeatly hes wrong too
why does he and not the others? Dont pasify him

people are making youtube videos about this now

i find it funny that people wanted the heat to fail more then the mavs to win. its to the point that people forgot who won the title. its about the team that lost

most people with hatred for an individual they don't even know, have some self-hate towards their own life...

rooting for the Mavs is different than rooting for a individual to fail...that just seems like people believe Lebron failing brings him back to earth...but it doesn't because athletes don't live and die with this sh*t, they go on vacation when the season ends...fans are the ones who go back to earth after seasons end...

shouldn't have said it tho because 'haters' do contribute to the NBA (teams, income, etc...) which feed into his income...

I stopped listening @ 55 seconds.

The only reason I wanted Miami to win is because America hates them so much. The reason this country hates them does not compare to some of the athletes that have real social issues that seem to get praise or the blind eye. Most sports fans are casual with the memory of a pigeon and generally disregard most things logical in any debate. To shut all of those people up or at least qualm the noise for a year would be so gratifying. Just to see the "bad guys" win for once.

These guys pretty much came in and made their own rules, paved their own path for success, and have respect for one another while carrying out their goals. I respect that sh*t. That's pretty much what every American wants in life, yet we're too selfish to realize that. They're stuck on the decision and the pre-season celebration. Pretty much, stuck on stupid. So yeah, I can't wait to see LeBron and the Heat win it all for once. It's inevitable, not illogical.

What's so illogical about that?

I'm all for accountability but the majority of athletes including James werent taught how to be politically correct as kids. They grew up under the "keeping it real" mantra. They are ignorant on how to say the right things once you have celebrity and most of them either hit the league early or in football's case didnt pay a lot of attention in college when those lessons were given by the specialists brought in.

I'm not defending him so much as I am pissed off at the system of how things work. Somebody should have been doing this stuff a long time ago with him and should still be working with him daily to make sure this kind of stuff doesnt happen. He says he wants to grow his brand and be a global icon, well it wont come by pissing off everyday joe blows. His PR, publicist, marketing team and all of those guys should be in his ear daily.

The "athletes always say it's just a game" argument <
Reminding people it is just a game to downplay a terrible loss or commenting on something like an injury or f!ght....is not equivalent to reminding them its just a game that you happen to make an ignorant amount of money from, and do not really care that you failed, because at the end of the day you're dumb rich and they still have to wake up to their sh*tty life.

The, "well everything he said is true" argument <
If you're mom got r*ped, I wouldn't close out my press conference with "I lost, but at the end of the day _______'s mom got r*ped, and my mom didn't" We know we have to wake up to our lives tomorrow, we do not need to hear it from Lebrick.

The, "we only admire him because of his play, not because anything he does or says off the court" argument <
Clearly false in all sports. Kobe is accused of r*pe, all his sponsors pull, his jersey sales drop, becomes one of most hated guys in sports at the time. Mike Vick is caught f!ghting dogs....I know people that still hate this dude even after he has reformed...

Stop trying to defend what he said as being OK. I'm not saying you have to condemn the guy for saying it, you can continue being his fan if you want. But trying to pass off that arrogant a.ss statement as cool or alright is a joke.

basically this guy wants athletes to be stupid as hell and lack any social perspective b/c they're being paid millions for playing for a sports franchise

and hes a moron for thinking that all athletes are just playing for money, some of them actually take pride in their teams and cities (i.e. drew brees, emmit smith, derek jeter, etc)

if people think its foolish to be passionate about sports, then go knit a sweater or somesh*t.. and stfu

golfers get paid millions and they take pride in playing in the RYDER CUP... and they couldnt give a sh*t about haters...

just b/c lebron doesnt give a sh*t about a hater, doesnt mean that he cant say so to the media...B/C "OHHH THE REGULAR JOE will get upset"... well tell the regular joe to stfu if he doesnt want to be put in his place

Need proof LeBron wasnt taught much or values look no further than one incident. What other player in history mother came out to jack because of a hard foul on her son which resulted in said player telling mom to sit her a.ss down.

This alone is why I say we cant blame LeBron for a lot of the things he does, he doesnt know better and has had to learn on the fly while never being sat down by a real person, who didnt have a vested interest in his celebrity, and taught all about life. He's lived his life and grown up in front of cameras and is lacking some sh*t people.

This is the closest thing to a defense he can legitimately have in this f!ght. Maroon, sorry, but your argument is pretty weak. You don't bite the hand of the pathetic people who pay your salary to bounce a ball.

At the same time, he's never had a mentor out there. Just a bunch of yes men. In his mind, and his world, everything he says is great.

lets be real...what o'boy said wasnt even that bad

long story short all he said was in an attempt to screw his haters he also alienated his fans which is something you shouldnt do, that kind of goes for any celebrity really because the fans are the reason they are so well compensated. dont bite the hand that feeds you, since when is that a concept we dont believe in?

CONVERSELY...lebron gets more hate then a little bit, im really surprised at how much people really dislike this guy. boxden is a small sample size and people spit venom about this guy like he fu*ked they girl. i hear it everyday from my co-workers about how they dont like this guy. this dude stay getting blitzed by the media during these post-game pressers with some of these questions (i.e. shrinking question guy). dude is a human being it has to get to him somewhat.

the dude just lost the finals AGAIN, you saw bosh breaking down in the hallway ( by the way)and contrary to what some of you think bron probably cares a lot as well and is also kind of vulnerable at the moment and HE SLIPPED. thats all, he said something he shouldnt have probably said but we cant objectively understand the circumstances and just charge this one to the game.

we he eat dont make me sh*t, and i doubt it makes you either...so whats really the big deal?
