Always, I live in Michigan too and really don't have any desire to go to either Flint or Detroit.

Detroit's population has dropped dramatically tho. And Flint always have been sh*tty. As long as I've known.

6. Oakland, Calif.

Population: 409,723
Violent Crime Per 1,000: 15.3
2010 murders: 90
Median Income: $51,473 (2.4% above national average)
Unemployment Rate: 11% (2% above national average)

Oakland's violent crime dropped about 5.5% between 2009 and 2010, from about 6,800 to 6,260. The city nevertheless has the tenth-highest rate of r*pe, the ninth-highest murder rate, and the second highest robbery rate in the country. In 2010, there were 7.12 robberies for every 1,000 Oakland residents. According to an article in the San Francisco Chronicle, Mayor Jean Quan has attempted to combat break-ins and theft by creating programs to keep potential wrongdoers off the streets by starting late-night basketball programs. It it unclear if these policies have worked.

Late night basketball programs? Just another thing to get shot over. f!ghts break out over street ball all the time.

Once again, Oakland made the list. Last year wasn't as bad, RICO hit the west a few years back, Dubbs got a gang injunction, and a yearly round up. Too bad this year is much worse, ma lil n*gga(17) was k!lled just yesterday, and a few weeks from actually graduating, and trying to do something with his life. smh RIP Tang.

I'd go to Detroit, and pass out insulting letters to the lot of 'em.

Nearly half of Detroit residents can't read(it's sad that study wasn't a joke my friend made up.). I figure the ones who are more likely to shoot or f!ght me wouldn't know what the letters said.

Not bragging or nothing but Miami be having lots of murders. sh*t that gets me is that is that its broken down into so many different cities (I.E. areas such as Carol City, Overtown, Kendall, Cutler Bay) the numbers are separated and the murder numbers are only listed for those areas and not for the whole city itself and the city then seems to be a good city when its really not.

new orleans is rarely ever up there because murder is the only problem... theres not an overall high violent crime rate... only murder.

murder.

murder.

and more murder.

and you cant stop a murder from happening...

and if YOU slimgangsta18 from new orleas you should already kno this i aint gotta tell you this man
I was just telling people from Chicago today that New Orleans is different from them cause crime isnt as random as Chicago. For the most part, people that get murdered were living that life. In Chicago, violent crime is more rampant, people getting robbed on the streets everyday all day. They automatically a.ssume i should be fine living in Chicago cause im from New Orleans, im like noooo.....sh*t is real out here my dude.

Flint, Michigan is the gutter of all gutters. I got family in Flint and me and my people from Chicago once visited Flint in the 1990's. Nyggas was coocoo for coco puffs crazy up there, I dunno if it's still that bad today. But in the 90's when I went to Flint it was soooo grimey. Im talking about Flint was so grimey when I visited that even someone from a big city like Chicago went up there and was like, "cotdamn these nyggas crazy".
Our city aint that bad you just gotta be aware and protect yourself...keep your head level and be ready cause honestly thats just how it goes...try to avoid the dumb sh*t but be prepared, maybe Im just numb though cause to me it seems like any other hood...

10. Stockton, Calif.

Population: 292,047
Violent Crime Per 1,000: 13.8
2010 murders: 49
Median Income: $45,730 (8.9% below national average)
Unemployment Rate: 18.4% (9.4% above national average)

With a jobless rate of 18.4%, up from 18.1% a year ago, Stockton, California has one of the worst unemployment problems in the country. The huge percentage of unemployed residents may have contributed to horrible crime rates in the city, which is located 40 miles east of Oakland and San Francisco. Stockton was rated one of the most miserable cities to live in the country by Forbes in March, 2010. Violent crime was one of the chief measurements for its ranking. Of the 267 cities with populations over 100,000, Stockton has the 27th highest number of murders per 1,000 people and the 12th most aggravated a.ssaults per 1,000. Last year, recognizing the crime problems in the city, the state temporarily diverted hundreds of California Highway Patrol officers to aid the city's overwhelmed police department.
The name Nick Diaz came to mind immediately.
