How many yall workout.. but still smoke cigarettes?
 

 
Ive been working out a lot recently and I do smoke cigarettes on the reg. I'm always coughing in the gym, like really bad coughing.. is there anyway I can prevent that without giving up my Newports lol. Anyone else got the same situation... Im not sure because I havent worked out in awhile before hand so maybe my lungs loosenin up.

Cigs is an addiction though, n*ggas generally can't just give it up because the gym if they're addicted.

Damn dude 'ports are the worst too. I smoked 'em while playing ball in high school but that catches up REAL fast.

sh*t will age you fast as fu*k and tear up your lungs while coating it with a thick, heavy layering of tar.

It took me 6 tries to quit but I got it. Cold Turkey. I suggest quitting.

I quit smoking for 1.5 years now. My endurance has never been better (obviously). There's no way to work around your smoking habit. Either give it up or constantly get sick and eventually die young.

Bullsh*t i stop smoking newports when i started the gym and i was smoking them on a reg for like a year. once in a blue i'll somke some weed or a black tho

Moderate it.
If u smokin a couple a day, just try to stick to 1 a day. then try to get it when its not everyday etc.

i go through phases when i do smoke but im not a chain smoker or anything, it usually takes me a week or so to go thru a pack but the difference in my endurance when i work out is noticable so i try not to smoke. its been about a month since my last cig and i really dont have any cravings for one. but i recently started a new workout routine and im glad i did stop because i would probably be dyin

I did fine when I was younger. You can build up decent endurance while doing it - but obviously it wont be what it could be without smoking.

yeah I smoke both.. but when yu drunk or high a cig makes it a lot more enjoyable.

I havent let up on smoking, but I am not having as much problems as I had at first. I still realize I am out of breathe after every little thing I do, but I'm just gunna have to deal wit that. good lookin on everyone who posted.

best advice is if you don't smoke already, don't start...that's a powerful a.ss addiction....

I been a smoker off an on since I was like, 17/18....i'm 26 now and haven't smoked regularly for a year and some change...

when i was younger I would frequently work out and then reward myself with a cigarette after the workout...it was so soothing to me....it definitely capped my progress tho...I prolly could've gotten a lot better results if i had chilled out on the Kools while I was real heavy into my routine....and I was a big time workout freak...was going to the gym twice a day an sh*t..was cut up, strong, had my regimen down pat, all that....

I eventually started coolin out on the workout routine after I left my first college...lost most of that muscle definition and retained a really nasty habit in smoking..
