Carmelo and La La Anthony have snapped up a luxe penthouse duplex at the Hit Factory Condominium, the former recording studio where Stevie Wonder, Mick Jagger, Diana Ross and Notorious B.I.G. all laid down tracks.

The Knicks star and his reality-TV wife have already moved into the building at 421 W. 54th St., between Ninth and 10th avenues, sources say. The couple's moving vans were spotted outside last week.

Melo and La La have inked a one-year lease at the address where John Lennon spent his final hours and Bruce Springsteen recorded "Born in the USA." The studios were converted into a seven-story, 27-unit condo development, with six penthouse duplexes, in 2007.

Penthouses with private terraces at the Hit Factory rent for $14,900-$22,000 per month, according to StreetEasy.com, a real-estate Web site. Condos for sale go for $1 million to $4 million, the site says.

Real-estate brokers have been circling the Anthonys like hawks ever since Melo was traded to the Knicks in February. A citywide guessing game over where they'd land had them reportedly renting no fewer than four apartments on the West Side, at the Aldyn and the Ashley, according to other papers.

But now that they've finally found a home, the couple can get back to their busy schedules -- or at least La La can, since the Knicks were eliminated from the playoffs. She's been shooting her show, "La La's Full Court Life," for VH1, chronicling her move to New York. The show is a sequel to "La La's Full Court Wedding."

The Anthonys' new digs are located next to an AAA dispatch center, just in case Melo has engine trouble with his Bentley when he's picking La La up from work.

Reps for La La and for the condo both said, "no comment." Carmelo's rep didn't get back to us.

22k a month is a good deal for the average athlete. You do know this dude makes six figures a game right. He only would need to play about 3 games and it would cover that lease he just signe completely.

LaLa got money son... And Melo probably got money stashed, and over the next 3 years signed for 65 Million dollars, that puts him at like 30 years old.. which means he got another 50 or 60 million dollar contract left in him.. to carry him into 34-35 age range and then he can bum a couple 5-10 million dollar contracts to close out his career...

Paying 22k in Rent is a good look for him right now.. By season start he will have a couple endorsements.. and in NY when them Melo M8's come out them sh*ts going to be on the streets HARD BODY...

And Carmelo, after being uprooted from Denver after playing in that city for seven and a half years, is considering turning Big Z into the Big Landlord.
