and 85% of kobes shots are jumpers

By comparison...83% of Ray Allen's shots were jumpers. He takes way too many bad shots and the offense suffers from it.

And most of Ray Allen's baskets are a.ssisted.. (61% compared to Kobe's being 38%)

Ray Allen at this point in his career is a set shooter. He rarely handles the ball and doesn't play many other roles apart from running off screens for a mid/long range shot.

Then why is a guy who handles it more taking so many bad shots? The guy who's job is to shoot jumpers...shoots less jumpers than Kobe. Kobe could shoot 50% easily if he wasn't so arrogant.

No..you a.sserted that LeBron's jumpers were 4 ft hook shots. Unless you can substantiate that claim(which you can't), your a.ssertion is wrong

Luckily for the conversation, there are stats that measure jumper distance

LeBron takes 5.4 shots from 16-23 feet and only 2.4 from 3-9 feet.

Kobe takes 5.9 shots from 16-23 feet and 3.9 from 3-9 feet. lol.

Kobe takes more "4 ft hookshots" than LeBron...and he's still less efficient

Sooo, whats the excuse this year when they dont win???? Can't use the "no one else on the team" one anymore.

You do realize that LBJ playing with bums the last two seasons, both years, had better records than the "super team" they built this year.

kobe DOES NOT handle it more than Lebron, Miami's offense is run through lebron, dont kid yourself

since when is a forwards job to shoot jumpers???? and what is kobe again? a SHOOTING GUARD right??

its nice you find some stats online and hide behind them, but bring some common sense with your arguments

how do you figure???

Kobe 3-9 Ft FG% 48
Lebron 3-9 Ft FG% 44.4

you cant even read your own stats you trying to hide behind HAHAHA

oh and used your stats and came up with this fun fact

Lebron gets 44% of his FG MAKES at the rim
Kobe gets 26%

like i have said since lebron entered the nba...these 2 shouldnt be compared to eachother, two COMPLETELY different players

not everyone is blessed to play with a top 10 player of all time in shaq and one of the greatest of all time, you think lebron wouldnt have won at least four with shaq at the same ages ya ok

and again he wasnt blessed to have the NBA's golden child/team the lakers making championship moves in the front office having a damn starting line up with gasol/bynum/artest and somehow Lamar fu*king odom coming off the bench
Here's my thing with that, I agree that Kobe has had the pieces in place, but you're talking about a team that won 66 out of 82 games. Thats almost 81 %, the next year they win 61 out of 82 games. In the last two years they went 127 - 37: 77 % in 2 seasons. They may not have had the big names, but it doens't take away from the fact that they were a good team. The wins show that. They were 6 games off of the best record all time.

The way LeBron dominated the ball in Cleveland just set that team up for failure in the playoffs. Every good defense they would face was going to make them struggle or even beat them.

There is only 4 teams in NBA history that have ever had a better record than 66 - 16.

Thats a good team. No matter which way you try to shape it. Thats a damn good team - regardless of who is on it...

Learn to read. Kobe handles it more than Ray Allen. Ray Allen's role is as a shooter, and Kobe takes more...worse jumpers than Ray Ray. Don't say dumb sh*t like Small Forward or Shooting Guad. Kobe is still the primary ball handler on the Lakers, and his sh*t selection is terrible. He's a worse player than LeBron, not because he isn't as physically talented, but he's such a chucker.

It wasn't his ball dominance, but the lack of a legitimate 2nd option to take it out of his hands.

You a.sserted that most of LeBron's jumpshots were "4 foot hooks" You a.ssertion was proven wrong because Kobe takes more of those easy jumpshots than LeBron does.

It's already statistically proven that Kobe himself is a jump shooter.

Then please explain his regular season success? His ball dominance made it impossible for any second option to ever be efficient. Him kicking it to Mo Williams after he dribbled 19 seconds of the clock away and then wondering why nobody is making shots was fu*king laughable to anybody with a tiny bit of knowledge of the sport.
