What exactly does p90 and these insanity workouts do? Is it just for losing weight/cardio? Reason I ask is I'm going to have surgery for my hernia so I can hit the gym back up. I boxed for about 10 years but never really lifted but when I go back I'm going to lift and put on weight. My cardio will be fine so if thats mainly what this is for dont want to waste my time

p90x is focused mainly on muscle building. However they do have a day of plyometrics. Insanity is alot more cardio but they have you also doing strength exercises as well at a fast pace. Alot of push ups, suicides, in and outs, moving push ups, and stuff. So I guess it really depends what your goals are.
