Kobe's modesty act has always been a facade. Dude has believed he's been the best player in the NBA since he's stepped on the court out of high school. Can't hate it though .

But this isn't from a new book, it's from the lunch he had with writers who cover the Lakers yesterday
a lot of players have felt that way. It's like being a rapper.

Thankfully, who is the best can't be won, but what can be won is championships, scoring titltes, MVP, recrods, etc... and Kobe has the stats to say he's great...and Jordan is...greater.

Kobe was supposed to say that, every n*ggain the league wasto suppose to say that to the goat or at least have that mentality. Remember when AI shook the draws off MJ.

As far as the era comparison the MJ's era was greater than Kobe's. Mike had to go through hall of famers. He had to beat the knicks every year in route to a title. Thats like having to play a team like Boston today just to get to the finals. He was a part of the fu*king Dream Team. Not only that but the Basketball IQ was better back then as well. He played in an era where they had illegal defense calls (look it up youngins) Maybe MJ played against shorter defenders but they were allowed to hand check and Kobe is still taller than every defender he faces today, not to mention he usually guards the other teams point guard. MJ would go guard the other teams best player. And he played in a league where big men were 7 feet tall and they actually played in the paint and contested shots. Same with the power forwards they all could bench press a car and would try to knock you on your a.ss with the quickness.

But the real reason yall need to stop comparing Kobe to Mj is because MJ never let his team down. He never lost a finals. He never had a dominant inside force. You never had to question if he was the number one factor in them winning the ship. Everyone knows SHAQ was the force behind those 1st three rings. The last two you could argue Gasol and Bynum played just as big of role as Kobe. Especially with with the so called great going 6 for 24 in game 7 last year. Kobe doesnt have the defining moments that MJ has. The shrug (portland), the flu(finals jazz), the shot (Ehlo), anytime he went to MSG (double nickel) the wwitch hand lay up (finals Lakers) the shove (Utah Byron Russell). His greatness is more than how many points he scored and how many rings he has. It is heart, will, determination, leadership, the ability to put the team on his back and not let them lose. He would have never disappeared in a game 7, he would have never disappeared in the finals like he did in 08 against Boston. Ray Allen in his prime couldn't guard Mike. He averaged more than 30 points in the playoffs every year except for his rookie season. He averaged 33.6 in the finals, this is in an era where it wasn't the norm to score over 100 a game. His teams didn't lose four in a row at the end of the season and squander their playoff positioning. You never heard Phil comeand say the Bulls aren't playing hard right now. After they won 72games the next year they won 69.

how do you leave out bird !!!! highest score by 1 man in a playoff game in nba history(63) was a YOUNGGG MJ against the winningest team in nba history when they had their best player
Did the bulls win that series? Im not saying Kobe is better than mj but why people always discount kobe's scoring when they lose but not Jordan. In fact almost every Jordan highlight f him dunking on someone was before he ever won anything

Besides the 81 point game and the lob to shaq when that capped off a 15-0 comeback versus the Blazers in game 7 (which by the way I think was fixed) name another moment that supports Kobe Bryant legacy as the goat.

sad to see another dumbass on bx!
LMAO! Weak era?? you have no sense of basketball history! there were fewer teams, therefore teams were loaded. Kobe feasts on teams like the bobcats, the grizzlies, Raptors... NEED I GO THE fu*k ON?? you have to be a child, thinking you know anything about basketball... or better yet, a Kobe enthusiast... you really need to puke Kobe's balls from your stomach...:ang ry27:

@this f*ggot kobe dreaming about MJ all his life...had jordan posters hung up all over his room, jordan shoes in his closet, wore nothing but jordan jerseys to school, wore hanes underwear, ate ballpark franks everyday for lunch, watched pro stars every morning, ate mcdonalds everyday for lunch, and learned the basics of gamblings

n*ggas been obsessed with being jordan since birth....i could see him wearing black makeup trying to make his skin darker to match MJs complexion while standing in front of his bathroom mirror with heels on in his jordan jersey like buffalo bill in silence of the lambs talkin bout "would you fukk me mike? i'd fukk me....i'd fukk me real hard":disdain2:

(Phil) Jackson told the story of arranging a first meaningful meeting between Bryant and Michael Jordan in the 2000-01 season, which was filled with Kobe-driven friction after the first championship the previous season. Jackson’s goal was for the learned Jordan to get the eager Bryant “to understand he didn’t have to stray outside the offense” and the Zen idea to “wait till the game presents itself.”

Jackson said Bryant’s first comment to Jordan, however, was: “I can take you one-on-one.”

DIDNT READ BECAUSE KOBESTANS ALWAYS TRYING TO PUT MJ N KOBE IN THE SAME CONVERSATION. GET A LIFE
