I don't think the sample was intended to be hidden from the original artist (Shook Ones II is an iconic record in rap.. The would have already gotten sued for it if it was the case).. Sometimes a producer will arrange a deal with the original artist so that they don't have to put credit for the sample, but they still have permission to use it..
Because the sample is just so obscure or whatever..
Same case with The Game's "Church for Thugs"..
I've been trying to find that sample since the album came out and no luck..
