Looks like Kyrie may have let the cat out the bag with DeAndre Daniels...:dancingcool:

Irving was asked by a reporter if, while considering his decision to turn pro, he thought about how good the Blue Devils could be in 2011-12 if he had opted to stay in school for another year.

Here was Irving’s answer: “That was definitely something I thought about considerably because of the talent we’ll have next year. I think that this year’s team was really special. And I thought next year’s team would be really special if I were to return. I think we have five recruits coming in with the addition of DeAndre Daniels. So that would be really special. Because that would give me the chance to lead the team similar to what Kemba Walker has done at UConn

Do you n*ggas even watch college ball? His talent is too "raw"? Irving is cp3 v2.0. He's obviosuly not on Wall's level as a prospect but that bust talk is ridiculous.

What's so laughable about that? I see nothing raw in Irving's game, and if I could compare him to anybody, it would be cp3.

So you gauge him as being cp3 2.0 from 11 games but I can say he'll be a bust

What's wrong with him paying out of pocket for school? Hell, Alumni may be willing to pay for it just because they want him to be a.ssociated with the university.

He's shown us that he's a good kid, well-rounded, smart, and is a hell of an athlete. Instead of people looking at it like Kyrie needs Duke, why not look at it like Duke needs Kyrie? I know why, because "Elitist" see everything that way.

He don't owe that University sh*t.
Duke definitely does not Irving lol
Duke's Basketball Program is not even their big money maker.

The CP# claims were being made when he was in AAu before Duke...Irving is a great pg with work ethic to match. The kid will not be a bust that's for sure.

I wont say he made the right or wrong decision because you can argue pros and cons for both sides of the decision.
If it was me I would have probably gone back to school with the uncertainty of a lockout that many NBA insiders say will take away at least half the season if it isnt worked out before hand.
If thats the case then he wont see a dime until its worked out and he will have missed at least a year of court time when a season starts.

Now, all that is worst case scenario but can be a harsh reality for a lot of players in 5 or 6 months. Also, going back to school may not have been an option with Dawkins and Curry there and a slew of players coming in that were also gonna want the ball and expect to be a star.

He was and is in a very tough position right now but the best thing he can do is attack the NBA with full force and pray there is no lockout. Most of all he does have the money to help ease his pain and mind if he struggles in 8 months with is decision.

Edit: I'm always for players going back to school and not going to the NBA until 3 years removed from high school. They may not owe a school anything but they owe themselves the opportunity to get a college degree. Yeah, you can always go back but how many actually do go back after they get that money? Plus, if they stay three years it puts them just one year of work away in case they decide to go back unlike the guys that leave after one year. Those degrees help them with life while playing and after playing. sh*t, a lot of guys even graduate in 3 years
