And you're running a stock cooler?

Anyways. I need some advice. I apparently burned up my old motherboard (It was such a great mobo ) So now I have to buy another. Thing is, this mobo is kindly expensive and I don't have that kind of money to be dropping $200 on a motherboard since I have to drop money into a graphics card as well and I plan on getting a pretty hefty one. I'm running an Intel Quad-Core Q9400 with an LGA775 socket. I can't find anything remotely close to running what i have since I need 4 RAM slots as well. I looked up Mobo's that'll run that socket, and it's either stock intel one's that run $200 or one's that only house 2 RAM slots.

Yeah.. I think I'm going to replace it soon because idk if it's a hackintosh glitch, but my fan randomly goes 100% every 10-20 mins. No clue on the mobo, they're usually in that price range. Trade in some old games at best buy or something. Get a gift card and put it towards one, if they have it available on the website.

I have the same cooler on my burned up mobo. It was always dope, I never had any problems out of it speeding up to 100% though. In fact I never heard it ever speed up.

1 strong card is better than 2 medium cards. If you literally don't have to get a new card right this second wait it out till AMD drops their 3xx series. Nvidia will then counter it with some price cuts.

the angle might exaggerate it but
cuz the exhaust mount screw was a little higher than where it sits in the pci slot
i unscrewed it since then but its not perfectly straight still. ASUS cards are heavy in general also
had the same issue with ASUS770, no problems
