He's already starting to fall off, kush and oj 2 was halfway decent and most of the n*ggas in taylor gabg are just straight a.sscheeks, and he REreleased cabin fever. I like his 2010 s**t wayyyyyy better than this year. Hopefully the album won't be as disappointing as the recent mixtapes.

Good s**t.

But some of y'all mad he's getting money/fame and toned himself down with a couple of these new tracks. As long as his album isn't on some completely forced s**t, I'm not complainin'

A n*gga transfers from the underground to mainstream and is taking full advantage of his buzz now it's not cool to like him no more? Another classic example of unloyalty from a HipHop fan.

People really don't know you until they know you. They call him the rookie of the year but he was on MTV a few years ago. Proof no one gives a f**k about you until that money comes in.

you right as f*ck about that. what i like about wiz's career is...

...the muhf*cka put in multiple years of work and grindin' before he was even on any rap music fan's radar.

wiz khalifa's road to fame:

. released 2 or 3 locally acclaimed mixtapes in pittsburgh in the mid-2000's

. was signed by warner bros. records in the mid-2000's, released an album and the single "say yeah." the music video received some attention on mtv2 and other music channels

. he was released from warner bros. records sometime in 2009 and started releasing mixtapes independently once again and doing various college tours

. he released the critically acclaimed mixtape, flight school, in 2009 and he started getting notice by thousands on the internet

. he began his "day today" video series on youtube either in 2008 or 2009

. he releases the mixtape, how fly, with curren$y and the jets and taylor gang movement starts to reach an all-time high

. he releases the mixtape, kush and orange juice, in april 2010 and it becomes a hit on twitter, the top search on google, and considered one of 2010's best mixtapes by rap music journalists and writers

. he finally gets signed to atlantic records

. he releases the single "black and yellow" in late 2010 and it becomes a #1 hit in the u.s. and the theme song for the NFL's pittsburgh steelers

. he releases the mixtape, cabin fever, in early 2011

i just summarized about 5-6 years of hard work and dedication.

Making it in the music industry has a new meaning. There was a point where if you were on TV you were considered a success, obviously it's not that way anymore.

In fact, making it on TV is probably just a step above Youtube nowadays (just ask Jo Blak). Yes, people, you heard me, making it on TV doesn't mean anything in 2011.

There have been plenty of artists(Joe Budden, Wiz, Lil B, Cory Gunz is next) who have had success in the early '00s, but not too many people are familiar with their music.

These artists found themselves going back to where they started. And I think these guys had an idea of how easy the game was and how they can take it over again.

Like I was saying, the good thing about working hard is no one is going to notice the bad days. The only thing they see is when you finally come up. Unless you frequently follow the game. We've seen this happen with Drake and J.Cole.
