about the same as noah...+/- half a mill...in that ball park...neither of them is worth more than 6.5 million a year...

rashard lewis...

im not saying the owners are totally right but it all needs to get fixed n if it does, we as fans benefit the most...prices can come down on attending games because the owners wont be trying to make up for lost money on our dime(beers/ticket prices, etc)...
thats what needs to happen.if players agree to cut salary, owners should hav to agree to cut ticket prices

That's the plan overall if what I'm hearing and reading is true. They want to hard cap the players, take away long term guaranteed contracts and since they will be saving money that will allow them to lower the prices so fans can start enjoying games again. Plus, it allows more families to attend games and not go broke.

Dude barely has a high school diploma. He need to stfu and let people that actually went to school for business, law, economics, financial management... do the speaking.
They asked LeBron to speak. Because his voice and opinion is a little more powerful than Keyon Doolings "who's the vp of the players union"... LeBron is pretty much the face of the product moving forward for the next 10 years.. He actually NEEDS to speak.. I'm not saying sit there and negotiate, but more so voice his opinion.

Probably.. The thing is when you think of it from this stand point.. These owners have the power honestly.. If the players have the balls, to have a lockout for 2 years(god forbid) then maybe they wont.. And the owners stand pat.. The owners will be fine.. Why? Because the NBA is there "side job" it's almost a hobby for them.. This is the toy that they bought themselves after mastering their REAL professions.. So these owners will still be getting money from other endeavors. The players however.. This is their main source of income, this is their #1 profession, this is what they do..

Owners will always be fine financially, only players who are fine finacially are the ones with the big contracts already..

But what about the players who are 7th-15men on the squads.. When that money starts running out, the checks aren't coming in next year because of the lockout/strike.. Those child support payments dont stop because the NBA is in a lockout.. Owners can play hard ball if they want.. Hopefully they don't..

Only leverage I see the players having is if alot of them say, you know what we playing in europe until you get your act right.. Thats the only leverage I can see them using.

Typically they do because the NBA players are widely known across all sports to have the weakest union and Union leader in Billy Hunter. He gets treated like a b**ch by Stern all the time

If any of yall believe that these rich a.ss owners are considering cutting ticket prices yall crazy. The cap would have to be around 40 mill for that. Those siding with the owners are either dumb or not informed. They need some common ground on the cap because it is true that some players are being over paid.

The NBA kick out all the hoodlums like Marbury and Iverson who you know would not lay down to cut backs and voice their opinions. Stern is a genius.

The Bron's/Kobe's/KG's of the world can survive a whole year without an NBA check, the role players can't. It'll be a class war between NBA players. Something's gotta give.

If you take a look around the league all you see is young cats with low IQ. This era of players are soft and aren't fairly bright.

NBA players have a better voice than football player just based upon the sport alone.. 52 man roster I believe.. Hell you can get rid of one star player and replace him with a moderate one(except for QB) and still somehow find a way to be elite or competitive..

There's a dannywoodhead every f**kin year comming out of the woodworks.. Not so much in basketball.. Whats a typical shelf life for a football player? 4-5 good seasons? then typically they start to downgrade after that.. In some cases sooner.. Not so much in basketball, or very rarely you see a basketball player drop 25ppg and then next year 10ppg. Just doesn't happen, nor can you easily replace a 20ppg player like you can easily replace a 1,200 yard RB through the draft..

but at the same time you dont have to overpay a player like rahsard lewis just cuz of some nice numbers he put up he is not worth it joe johnson not i can name alot of players who arent worth it just some owners who fall fo it and over pay thats on them

football is different agreed when have the players had a voice
