How is this even a fair argument to both players?

If you compare Kobe vs Jordan in their first 7 seasons, you have:

Championships
Jordan - O
Kobe - 3

You can argue that Jordan didn't have Shaq, and "Kobe played second fiddle." But that same argument implies Kobe's numbers are deflated because he was not the star of his team, and bench player (f**k you Del Harris).

Aka, this means nothing. Because their situations were different and you cannot compare them in a fair manner for either party. If you don't think the 3 titles early in his career had any value, I guess you'll be singing the same tune when he finishes with more rings.

lol at the excuses!

? How is it not fair though? You can clearly see throughout 1072/(3) games Kobe has 5 Chips & MJ has 6 Chips. At least I think that's what you're talking about right? Through 1072 games? & Kobe did play second fiddle to Shaq, because we all saw what happened when he wanted to be the man & try to win by himself when Shaq was still on the team....

Off-Topic:

I have a question, how can you be considered for talks as the GOAT or being better than the current GOAT if you weren't even the best in your era?

You can't compare apples to oranges there is one category that you guys never pay attention to games played and games started they play a significant role in output if you dont start or dont play how can you be compared to someone who starts every game and plays every game except one season... Find a life it is damn impressive what Kobe has done with far less playing time. He is only 4000 points less than MJ total career points with way less games give props people

Some people have a hard time reading when they compare stats they compare total games not total minutes played. Jordan has way more games started than Kobe and more complete seasons. so even though you are comparing 1072 games that Kobe has been involved in he hasnt played all of them or even started most of them in his first 3 seasons.

Kobe minutes per game is 36.5
Jordan is 38.3

the difference is not big, 1.8 minute per game more is nothing

you say kobe's wasnt involved a lot first 3 seasons
his first season i can agree, he played 71 games, started 6, averaged 15 minutes per game...
his second season he started only 1 game, but his minutes jumped to 26 per game... it gets a pass tho

but his third season he was a STARTER and averaged 38 MINUTES PER GAME... how tha f**k you take that out? just because he averaged less than 20 points per game? f**kouttahere

Jordan retired and came back! you can't count all those games because he needed time to re adjust! So you're saying that Jordan was better when he came into the league and still is? It is not Jordans fault Kobe didn't start. Holla at me when Kobe matches him MVP wise.

what about jordan vs kobe after 1,500 games?
what if kobe wins 3 more titles and 2 more finals mvps?
then what?

comparing people after a "selected" amount of games is dumb. compare a career.. when both players careers are OVER.
