1. Betelgeuse is only 10 million years old. It's not gonna explode for another million years.
2. The change in mass is due to massive amounts of gas being expelled from the surface.
3. Even if it did explode it's ~640 light years away, so those neutrinos wouldn't hit earth for a while.
4. Tons of stars have exploded and it doesn't light the earth for 2 weeks. It actually is barely noticeable.

this is the ninth brightest star in the sky, yeah stars explode but none brighter than this one, any other fast balls u wana throw at as mr. scientist, cuz im sure u no more than all the real scientist
