Activisions response:

Where does it "explain in detail why they can't really fix it nor do anything about this problem not even via just updates" ?
“Games rely on the security of the encryption on the platforms they’re played on, therefore; updates to the game through patches will not resolve this problem, unless the security exploit itself is resolved on the platform,” said Bowling.

“In the future we plan to adjust our approach to not rely solely on platform security and reduce the ability for this to happen in our games, as has already been displayed by the work Treyarch has done on Call of Duty: Black Ops to prevent similar measures.”

They explain vaguely but provide a solution that basically exposes themselves. Games have some sort of security not reliant on the platform through means of dedicated servers and whatnot, could be done, but wasn't and now gamers are feeling the effects of it.

holly s**t by what there saying it seems like there thinking sony cant fix the security breach on the ps3 that geohot and the others have put out.

if cod:bo servers shut down the hackers will move on to the next popular ps3 online game and f**k that one up to until they shut that one down then move on to the next most popular game.

Funny how that's the first thing a PS3 user always say when comparing to XBL. Never thought that would be the downfall too. Sweet irony.

It's either leave the servers up and have people constantly complain and bash the game (plus company) or just take the servers offline and eliminate the problem. Sony should just admit defeat or hold a press conference and explain how they're going to deal with the problem. Restore the faith or people are going to ruin the ps3

sounds like an angry customer and an angry spokes person getting at eachother. i doubt this "spokesperson" has any power or input in shutting down the servers, just his angry response to ps3 fans complaints. Activision would not want to lose all the money from ps3 owners just because a couple owners are mad.

Bout to play some Modern Combat: Domination:). Heard it was good for 6 bucks(PS+ of course, regular price is like 8 bucks which isn't bad still). Sucks for you COD PS3 players.
