The government created the internet?
 AmazinJay said:
Yes the government created the internet to better integrate our defense/weapons systems back in the 1950's-60's. It was for military purposes pretty much until they commercially expanded it and privatized.
Sociology 101 :D

its kinda weird tho everyone uses it but its origin isn't common knowledge :(

What we are talking about is enhancing online security and privacy, and reducing and perhaps even eliminating the need to memorize a dozen passwords, through creation and use of more trusted digital identities."
Translation:

What we are talking about is the ability to quickly identify intelligent people on the internet, and perhaps even eliminating the need for the FBI to actually get off their a.ss and piece together clues from a dozen usernames. But we'll just tell you dumbasses at home that it's to prevent "terrorism" and to make the internet more convenient for you. You'll eat it up.

I'm no hardcore Obama supporter, but if there's any way to point the finger at Obama it will be posted by the TS.

I love how these far rightwingers always have a finger to point but when they get criticized they always deflect attention off of themselves.

Ever heard of the Patriot act? Ever heard of RFID chips? I'm sure those were all democratic initiatives too right

This is right out of the book of revelations. This the mark of the beast. I bet there will still be people defending Obama because as we know he is the savior of man kind and can do no wrong.

Kinda divided on this. I like the idea of being anonymous online so that way no one would know who I am and where I'm at, but on the flip side.... but online predators and a$$@$ like that it might be valuable but since hacking is not as exclusive as it used to be it'd be worthless. Divided on this issue until more details come out..................
