Nas Going To Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music?

Did you hear this one? I got a very nice tip from somebody inside the music game...a freakin' phone call! Who does that in 2011? Anyway, the word on the street is that Nas is going to head on over to G.O.O.D. Music, the home of Kanye West, Mos Def, Common, CyHi and a bunch of other talented mofos. Not sure where this started, but what do you think about it?

Also, on the flip side, I heard that Nas may not be releasing his next album on Def Jam. Not surprising. I also heard Lost Tapes may be included as a bonus CD if he does drop it.

Rumors : Hip-Hop Rumors: Nas Going To Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music?

I like the move music wise but not buisness wise. The label is getting/crew is getting a little too big and this move would probably push the projects of Pusha, Big Sean, and CyHi back, and I would rather have their debuts then another NaS album right now.

This would be great for hip hop. I agree about the log jam tho, if they could keep the business side smooth then this is mos def the best faction.

What I am saying is that I think Big Sean and CyHi have the capability to go pop and sell more than Nas. I am a big fan of NaS and bought his whole catalogue, even though SD, was mostly trash.

If GOOD music signs Nas there roster is officially too full.

With all that said, obviously a NaS album produced entirely by Kanye, Q-Tip and No IDwould be a masterpiece.

I wouldnt mind NaS linking up with Dame and getting a full album with Ski Beatz

only part of that i really agree with....the label is really bloated as it is now.

are Mos and Common even working on material?
where does pusha really fit in?
and I know the younger acts want to get their albums out....everyone wont get a release date.

Dammit Nas. I swear you make the worst business career and personal moves. Nas is an elder statesman that should be running his own s**t and putting out other ppl. Arguably the GOAT emcee, but has the worst business acumen everrrrr.

just signed him? he been on g.o.o.d since 07. if he don't drop in 2011 than he not droppin. there 14 artists on the label and big sean and fonzworth bently are the only ones that don't have an album that wasn't signed in 2010(pusha,mos,cyhi)
