Nope he's right, had to make sure for the sake of arguement. Actually, if you look at wehn games are played it would make more sence to all of you all.
Baseball has the worst timing because half of there games are played when people are at school or work so if you are retired it's pretty easy to catch a game. NBA games are usually at night and in a Downtown area that are usually full of younger people. As for the NHL...i kind of want to believe that since it's not a sport you find everywhere the numbers would be funny and Nascar....I couldn't tell you.

median example: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 <- the median is 5 (5 is middle point when you arrange the numbers in order)

Nobody says you have to like football more than basketball once you get older. It really comes down to personal tastes. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with being grown ups or not. Case in point, both my dad (60 years old) and my granddad (90 years old) are still basketball fans first and foremost and have been watching the NBA since like forever. Lets face it, some people like whatever sport they want to like. So saying "I do not know how a grown men likes basketball more than football" is ridiculous. To me, basketball is a great, exciting sport so anyone can enjoy it, regardless of age. If some people don't like or are more into other sports it's fine, it's not for everyone, but saying "I do not know how a grown men likes basketball more than football" is ridiculous. If you understood the game, its intricancies etc. you probably would enjoy it more, regardless of age.
Besides, the article says the median age for the NBA is 39.3..and 39 years old is not exactly a little kid.

all of the sports leagues, businesses etc. prefer to market their product to younger people since that's what advertisers are more interested in..and young fans are the next generation of fans. Many young fans ensure a business to be successful for a long time.
By the way, I see lots of beer ads when watching the NBA.

If NBA fans could care a less about the sport until the playoffs then they wouldn't be NBA fans to begin with. You're talking about casual fans now, not the true fans like myself. I'm an NBA fan and I follow it since the preseason till the draft, regardless of how good or bad my team/favorite players are doing.
