dont think ryan could carry a team without a running game
but then you could say I dont think Rogers could carry that team without that WR core.

sounds dumb cause i think they both could carry the team either way it goes imo.. Ryan just had the luck of playing with the Burner and Rodgers plays with a good WR core..

The only two people off the top of my head this year thats carrying there team without a running game is Peyton and Rodgers.

Its okay i'll take Sam Bradford next year over these two :)

Aaron Rodgers. Aren't him and Peyton Manning the only ones doing it without a running game? With one of the worst to decent o lines for GB. It's a blessing Rodgers is as mobile as he is. Who's picking Matt Ryan whose offense leans on the running game, and he doesn't throw the ball over 20 yards? Only Falcon fans. With a good running game the playbook would open up so much more for Rodgers.

Add him overthrowing his receiver too who would have scored on that deep ball. But let's not pretend like he didn't have a great performance and it shouldn't even have come to that. If the Refs would have simply called that face mask that fumble wouldn't have happened and the Packers probably march and score. Rodgers fumbles twice and all of sudden he's going to fumble in every big game in his career? The Falcons losing at home in the playoffs is a lot more logically than Rodgers fumbling the ball to lose them a game.

wait a second I hate to use this, but, were just gonna act like Matt Ryan didn't throw TWO ints, one of them helping Arizona build their lead, another icing the game with 2 mins left, or tue fumble which led directly to rolle recovering and taking it to the house to lose the lead the falcons had in the third?

It's amazing when a team gets in a top ranking position, how quickly their fans turn into the biggest homers in the world. Falcons and Eagles come to mind this year.

very true, I've been this same way about Rodgers since he performed so well his first year, and continue to believe he's one of the best doing it right now

s**t I've been repping the pack on here since the patriots were winning superbowls

I hear ya. The year Favre took the Packers to the NFC Championship game against the Giants... from the start of that off-season, I wanted the Packers to ditch Favre, and play Rodgers. I had to eat s**t from everyone, cause Favre was successful as hell that year, but it's nice to see Rodgers is a top 5 QB in the league, IMO.

Ryan.

Aaron Rodgers is good too, and maybe if you said "win a game tomorrow" I would've picked him but you said "start a franchise" and I've already seen that Ryan can do that. Not only that, but he's taken a franchise that was in shambles since the Vick era and completely turned it around and they're better off now too.

So yeah, if I'm picking someone who I'm gonna start a franchise with, give me Matt Ryan.
