LOL @ tony gonzales can only be as good as Ryan lets him be. TG was a hall of famer before he ever put a falcons uniform on.

atlanta fans get mad but Matty Ice isnt as good as Rodgers
Yeah well on the FALCONS, TG is only as good as Ryan lets him considering Ryan is the QB. What, you think TG is putting up stats with Jimmy Clausen as his QB???? Hell no

matt ryan is a very below avg QB on the road. at home he's a beast but u have to win some on the road to be elite

eagles beat that b**ch down all game
Matt Ryan isn't elite. He's in his 3rd year

and so what you won one game. Should we say vick is below avg bc he lost to the bears?

Turner beasted that year but Matt Ryan threw for 3500 yds as a ROOKIE. 1st year, 1st time head coach so I don't even know what you're trying to say there. TG can only be as good as Matt Ryan allows him to be. Aaron Rodgers threw for only 500 more yds in his 4th year in the system

Matt Ryan has been in the league for half of the time Rodgers has and we're having this conversation. Point, Ryan.
Quit d!ck riding. And Ryan threw for 3,440 yards, his first year. That's closer to 3400 than 3500. You rounded up to skew your argument of being closer to Rodgers 4,038. That's a difference of 598 yards.

Rodgers first year as a starter - 4,038 yards, 29 TDs.
Ryan this year, 3rd year as a starter, so far - 2,715 yards, on pace for 3,949 yards, 28 TDs.

let's break it all down

Ryan first year 16 td pass 1 rush td 11 int 3440 87.7 rat
Rodgers first 28 td pass 4 rush td 13 int 4038 yard 93.8 rat

Ryan second 22 pass td 1 rush td 14 int 2916 yard 80.8 rat
Rodgers second 30 pass td 5 rush td 7 int 4434 yards 103.2 rat (third best td to int ratio ever)

Ryan thus far third 19 pass td 5 int 2715 yard 94.4 rat
Rodgers thus far third 20 td pass 4 td rush 9 int 2945 yard 97.4 rat

also, Rodgers start to his career is second to only Dan Marino td wise and best qb rating wise and also has the lowest int rate for career at 2% in the history of the NFL thus far which he's ahead by a couple percent already

I understand Atl fan sticking up for Ryan or liking his play or even just not being a Rodgers fan, but i don't think is close at all at this point

oh ya, and Rodgers was the second qb in history to throw for 4000 yards his first year as a starter

LOL n*gga we are 9-2.......we lost 2 away games(a OT game with PIT) and we won 3 away games......stop drinking milk from the titty of the media.

We laid one egg on the road............plain and simple. Yet that is the big story with the Falcons.....they cant win on the road........get the f**k outta here. I'm not even gonna take time to check other teams road records out but you dont hear about them and I bet there is more than 2 gotdamn loses.

who was 1st ? Romo ?

I think if you asked Rogers to manage a game and you asked Matt Ryan to sling it, i think they could both do it.. They fell in two different situations..

Wranger man Favre didnt wanna retire and wanted to pad his stats with GB.

Matt Ryan has brought out the best out of Roddy White and a not as good TG.

Aaron Rogers is still doing great with no running game or tight end at all and has the best deep ball in the NFL imo.

But this thread was about who would you start your franchise with...

I remember when Rogers went 23/23 or something close to that at Cal and i remember my a.ss losing a VT game when Ryan ran to his left and slang it across the field to the right end zone for the go ahead game winning touchdown.

It's hard to say, because both QBs are extremely talented young and have a tremendous ceiling.

Aaron Rodgers may have a bit more fire power as in WRs, but Matt Ryan has Turner.

I wouldn't be mad at myself for taking either one over the other.

first was Kurt Warner

and you can say all u want about the offense he came up in (Rodgers)

but he's broken (packers) offensive record after record that Favre couldn't break

but then you could say I dont think Rogers could carry that team without that WR core.

sounds dumb cause i think they both could carry the team either way it goes imo.. Ryan just had the luck of playing with the Burner and Rodgers plays with a good WR core..

The only two people off the top of my head this year thats carrying there team without a running game is Peyton and Rodgers.

Its okay i'll take Sam Bradford next year over these two :)
