honestly i cudi is one of my favorite artists as of lately...but this album as let me down a little bit. he has a few good songs, Marijuana, Mojo so Dope, and Mr. Rager are the only songs that remind me of "Kid Cudi". This album displays a new cudi which isn't like the old cudy that used to put out his own s**t and that's different than every single hip hop artist. he isn't the same.................period

The more I listen to this album; the more I listen to his first album; the more I switch between the two, man, the crazier both these albums seem.

I was never a big Cudi fan, but eff it, this will be the first time I've ever crowned something a classic in the space of a week... MOTM2 is a personal classic and that's that. 5/5.

It doesn't hit me like the first MOTM album, but it does certainly hit nonetheless. It always takes a few spins for an album to truly grow on you, because that first listen is usually you listening at your most shallow, you just want to quick feel of the album overall, whereas the later listens you truly start to immerse yourself into the meaning of the music.

I felt the direction was there. Perhaps not as easily flowed as the first, but that's because you had Common narrating it. He should've at least had some sorta skits that segued to the next act. You can sorta feel the changes in act though if you listen hard enough, because the tone of tracks between acts do change significantly.

I do feel this album is personal, but perhaps on a different level. The last one was about his come-up. This is more of his blow-up and what he's going through now. Not as profound as the first one, but that's because that chapter of his life was done [when he made MOTM]. This chapter that he made this album for has yet to even close.

I love this album. Took a few spins for me to truly gather what I was taking in. I voted 4, but I'd give it a 4.25.

i f**kin love this album...

i think it flows great. it sounds like on half of the album he's depressed and emo as f**k, a bunch of things are f**ked up in his life. in the beginning he wakes up from his dreams (his first album) and into his real life. s**ts all f**ked up. then he does coke and its all better, and he's partying, having a hell of a time. then he explains that without coke, he feels like nothing again.

- Scott Mescudi vs The World - He wakes up into reality. Intro to how he feels his life is. Himself vs the World.

- REVOFEV - He says how drugs is his remedy for the real world

- Don't Play This Song - Song about how drugs distort everything in his life

- Marijuana - self explanitory

- Erase Me - Girl problems

- The Mood - Him being f**ked up the club

- Mr. Rager - He's tired of being depressed, he wants to air out his problems

- These Worries - He solves his problems with coke. This song is when he's coked out, his voice sounds real f**ked up. He raps about him having a good time when f**ked up. When he's sober, its quiet and black. When he's coked up again, he starts rapping again.

- The End - He acknowledges he has a problem

- Ghost! - He feels alone and left behind

- Trapped In My Mind - He accepts his situation

thats the gist of it... in my opinion. genius. i think the album is meant to be spontaneous, just like his drug habits. one minute hes sober and sad, the next minute he's f**ked up. back and forth.

Theres a few listenable songs, but personally, its hard to listen to this album. I get the feeling that he's in a real dark/depressed place and its negatively affecting his work. When he first came out, he was the newest hip, stoner...but now its just sad.

.........with that said, SyDuck I will listen to it with your concept and see if I like it any better. It definitely has potential to stay in my rotation.
