his fanbase is huge now, he can throw anything at the wall and it will stick.
Absolutely. He's right though, isn't he? I'd cop his album (assuming it's really good) even if it just came as a disc with no packaging or anything.

I hate that there's no use of type or anything really appealing to begin with. I like having album covers I'd love to have on my wall...this album cover style would end up getting buried in between a few records.
I feel ya, I'm the same way. I got vinyl covers of Teddy Pendegrass, Jay-Z, Bob Marley, etc. albums on my wall -- most classic albums have a classic cover that follows, or at least something that's just memorable.
Seems like Kanye is on his "I'ma do me" tip, he's doing what he wants.
I can't be mad at him for doing what he wants as an artist, but he can't expect most of his fans to follow him when they have no idea what the hell he's trying to accomplish.
