How they are right now I'd take Posey over Heyward but that's for a close call and for this season only. But when you say "I'd take" I believe people a.ssume you mean for their careers or an extended period of time.
And age has a lot to do with s**t in baseball. Heyward at 23 will have more time to develop, perfect s**t and get down a lot of stuff. I know Posey is a rookie but two more years of experience playing baseball at any level can help.
And all I was saying about the Yankees is come on they don't know much about rookies. I am sure the Yanks field a few rookies here or there but certain teams rely on rookies a lot more than the Yankees.
Being honest, Heyward's going to have a great career, could end up being better than Posey so I'm definitely not hating. But we're walking into Game 1 of the NLDS right now, not 2 seasons from now. But I hear you, that's a miscommunication.
The Yankees farm system is doing some great stuff right now. They don't rely on rookies but I don't think you can say that they don't value the contribution of their rookies, which is the perception of many baseball fans toward the Yankees.
