Finally got a couple days off...Was catching up on everything, seen there was no activity

Trade deadline day tomorrow. Wonder if any BIG trades could happen tomorrow?
This year has been really active compared to past years.
We'll see though, Hoping the Nucks pick up 4th center, and add some nice 3rd line grit to play along with Torres. Been reported that they're shopping the 2nd round pick this year.

Boston has been lighting it up, great picks up by them this year.

Just seen Brad Boyes to the Sabres for a 2nd Round pick.

I'll be keeping this thread up to date.

That was a nice win in vancouver for the B's. Nice road trip so far. I want to believe that we can make it over the hump this year, but i do that every year, and every year the bruins let their fans down. But i really feel like maybe we can actually get to the ECF and ppssibly SC this year....so i could be in for a pretty big let down once again

Missed the game unfortunately like I said Keith...I like the Bruins though so wasn't too mad at the loss.

Looks like I got my wish, Higgins & Lapierre to the Nucks for a 3rd round and Oberg, didn't lose anyone and added depth.

Makes us way more frustrating to play against.

Washington made some great moves adding Wideman and Arnott.

MUCH needed centre to take the pressure off Backstrom.

We'll see how it pans out though.

Nothing too substantial today, but some good trades for aforementioned teams like the Caps. I think it's unfortunate what Calgary is doing, they're getting older and adding older players, basically putting all of their eggs into one basket this year. If they don't make the playoffs, I think they need to consider a younger rebuild. They're one of the oldest teams in the NHL and it's starting to show, even though they are playing really well right now.

From a Maxim interview today.

"My style is based on emotion, and here it's different (Anaheim). Supporters do not care a bit, this is not the same atmosphere as in Canada. It's a good thing for me to go to Vancouver. I need this for my energy. "
Caps and Pens fans know how it felt like to have him in their face for 6-7 games and how much they threw them off their game.

Toews/Kane never had that in the playoffs last year in any series. Instead we had to put up with players like Bolland who threw the Sedin's off their games.

.. Can't wait until the boys are healthy again.

Higgins could be a great addition to the line with Kesler if Raymond keeps playing like s**t...But Higgins will have to work his way up.

7 in a row, sole possession of second place...we're coming for Philly.

And Lucic >>>>

Finally playing up to his potential. He can score and he can kick your a.ss

And who else saw Backstroms goal last night? It was pretty sick, puck went into the air and he hit it off the ice and it bounced in the net

You guys should be able to take Philly down pretty easily. They looked slugish last night but their goaltending is spectacular and I'm pretty sure Carter and 2 others are still out with the flu for a couple days.

That's my dream ECF. They are a deep team, but we are too. And our goaltending is easily the best in the league. Thomas will win Vezina, not like that means anything in the playoffs, but he will, and we have Tuukka backing him up who has been great lately.

We are solid in every aspect of the game. But I still won't get ahead of myself and say we will make it to the ECF be use they could just easily choke in the first or second round as usual

I don't get why the media and people think Canucks/Philly are playing slugish and not winning like they were.

Of course they're not performing on all cylinders right now, they both had a massive lead in both conferences..when most teams are f!ghting for playoff spots.

I was expecting this from the 'Nucks if you look at previous posts.

I see they got the W today though.

C'mon man, Boston is one of the best defensive teams in the league. Of course their goal tending will look better than it actually is.
