The difference between a class d amp and a class a/b

The class d amplifier delivers raw power opposed to the class a/b which delivers a fration of the power that it states on the amp. for instance if you have a 2000 watt class d amp youre getting the full 2000 watts....a class a/b amp that says 2000 watts actually only puts out about 800 actual wats of power....believe me when you have a class d amp, you can definetly tell the difference

to keep it simple don't worry bout amp class. just worry about if it's a good brand or not and if it matches your speakers rms. thats more important than efficiency imo.

nah thats where u are wrong. because a 4 channel amp is not gonna have as much power going to your subs as much as a 2 channel or even a mono . mono amp is more geared to single sub setups. higher end like solobarics and w7 and p3's are god to have . 4 channel ur only going to wanna use for like ur car door speakers and crossovers/tweeters.

As far as I remember Class A/B amps are regular amps for amping your speakers. A Class D is a monoblock amp generally used for subwoofers. Copp that JL Audio 1000/1v2 and a 12" JL Audio W7.

what?

mono is geared to single sub setups? really? so what do you use if you have 2+ subs?

4 channels are not only for door speakers. you can power a sub with a 4 channel.

and l7s, w7, and p3 are higher end. really, where they do that at?

stay out of this section if you dont know what your talking bout
