MJ got that sympathy spot. he was great but he's not even touching anyone else in that 5. a pop icon shouldn't be put next to dylan, the beatles, stones, or zeppelin. if you disagree you haven't heard their albums. don't kid yourself, you're out of your element.
you s**ttin me right? You ever hear Thriller?

MJ made people the world over lose their f**king minds when they saw him. You can argue about order, but to say he's not even TOUCHING them - well maybe you're not considering what it takes to stay on top of the pop world. I'm just saying it's a debate. For this dude to come out as a black artist (for a lot of the time ) and have people the world over falling all over him, that's incredible. He had a barrier to get through from jump, and throughout his life. Again, I'm not saying he's better, just saying he's deserving of the debate with the rest of them. His catalog is ridiculous, just like those others. I'm not up on Dylan, I"m so-so on the beatles and stones, and I've heard a bunch of zeppelin but only have a couple of their albums I really know. They aint just s**ttin on mike, man.

of course, why would i make that statement if i hadn't heard ALL of his albums?

you ever hear Highway 61 Revisited?
you ever hear Let It Bleed?
you ever hear Revolver?
you ever hear Houses of the Holy?
You have to remember how vital MJ was as a group member and as a solo artist from age 10-50 on a worldwide scale. Look at his artistic impact outside of music. There's also his performing arts. Not many last as long as he did and still manage to keep a stronghold commercially. He was clearly the most impressive entertainer even if you not feeling his music as much as the other bands/solo acts. Look at how well he was able to adapt to each decade's sound.

Ya'll n*ggas are biased as s**t...Bob Dylan is the greatest song writer of our generation. His songs have made hits for countless others, not to include his hits and his influence on so many generations.

I knew that s**t was straight bulls**t when both Coldplay and Justin Timberlake came on top of R.E.M, Run DMC, The Cure & especially and let me repeat this one more f**king time, especially Janis Joplin. That's when I knew to cut that s**t off!

Then again... I knew this was bulls**t when Pearl Jam & Depeche Mode rank lower than f**king lame a.ss Green Day!

Both of this bands in the rock world are more respected than Green Day!

matter fact... Green Day is not even f**king punk... that s**t is POP!

I guess those a**holes never heard of Enjoy the Silence or Black.
